The soft cloth, lubricated with a ph balanced soap gently massages the car clean rather than relying on more harsh chemicals. The cloth does the work. The soap just lubricates the cloth and encapsulates the dirt.

A car that is washed regularly in this soft cloth wash will not be exposed to the more caustic chemicals used in a high pressure wash. Its rubber trim and windshield wipers should last longer. It will also get most cars cleaner.

Some cars have moldings and trim that create nooks and crannies that block the cloth from touching the entire surface. That is why an attendant preps your car before going through the soft cloth wash. They will pre-wash the trouble spots like the front grille, a recessed rear license plate, or around a rear window wiper. They also scrub the tires. The alloy wheels on many cars today are so easily damaged by brake dust that we feel it is very important to do what we can to keep them clean. That is also why we added the zero degree high pressure turbo nozzle rim blasters as part of the ’07 expansion.

The Protovest Windshear blow dryers have two 25hp fans which fill a ductwork that empties out of slits in cloth bags. This system distributes the air better than most carwash dryers. It still won’t completely dry all vehicles. Some cars just dry better than others. Some are aerodynamically challenged. Others could use a good hand waxing and buffing. Many vehicles will come out with some water still on them, but can be finish dried with one or two cloth towels we sell in the vending machine. Or, if you drive home after washing, it is dry and all you have to do is touch up a couple water spots around the mirrors and back bumper.

There are two wash packages offered w/ and without blow dry; the Wash, the Wash-N-Dry, the Double Wash w/ undercarriage and rim blasters and the double wash with dry named “The Works.”  It is fairly simple. The Double Wash and The Works are necessary if you want the undercarriage wash or rim blasters, say in the winter time when the bottom of your car is covered in salt. It is also a good idea to use these washes if your car has bug or bird residue on it. The double wash does more than twice as much cleaning. The longer wet time really helps. More comes off on the second pass than the first.

The Wash and the Wash-N-Dry are used when the car isn’t particularly filthy, but you want to blow off the dust and water spots.

Then all you have to decide is whether or not you want the blow dry option.

There are a couple things you can do to assure the best results. GO SLOW on your way in. You get about 25 seconds of undercarriage wash and rim blaster time. Stop when the red traffic light on the left comes on. Leave your wipers off when the cloth is washing your car.

When the exit slowly light comes on, turn your wipers on and GO SLOW again through the rinse arches and blow dryers. There is a countdown timer outside the building on the right. Time it so that your rear bumper is at the door when the timer gets to zero.

If you are using the wash when an attendant is not there and a car is in the wash ahead of you, wait to select your wash until their rear tire is past the floor switch. There is an outside chance that their rear tire will be detected as your front tire and they will steal your wash. You can put your money in. Just don’t push the button to select the wash until they are past the floor switch.
