Fig Tree Foundation (FTF) was formed by a group of concerned Calgarians who had a desire to contribute to international development initiatives, but soon discovered that in addition to a lack of funding for established groups, there existed a lack of co-ordination and collaboration amongst groups, leading to duplication of efforts and less than optimal utilization of existing resources.
Roundtable Members participate in regular forums to network and learn from each other.
Our granting process aligns with the renewed strategic direction of Fig Tree Foundation as well as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
There are a number of ways to get involved with Fig Tree Foundation that allow for varying levels of commitment.

Volunteerism and cooperation are two primary foundations of the FTF. We will use all our talents, gifts and energies to achieve the goal of helping those in need in the most efficient and effective manner.
