ABOUT KARC
Kingsport Amateur Radio Club was affliated on 2 October 1947. The club was formed out of a desire of local veterans, who were amateur radio operators, to establish a organization where all were welcome to come, fellowship together and advance in the art of radio.
Today the club has over 70 members from all over the Eastern Appalachian Tennessee Tri-Cities area. The club is involved in many activities in the area and has regular events for Parks on the Air (POTA), Summits on the Air (SOTA), Fox Hunting, Winter and summer Field Days, CW and much more.
CLUB MEETINGS
The club meetings will be every 2nd Thursday of the month at The Press Room at Food City (300 Clinchfield, Kingsport, TN 37660). Dinner will be at 6:00 PM and the meeting will begin at 7:00 PM. Anyone is welcome to attend.
Summer Field Day 2024
The ARRL Field Day will be June 22-23, 2024. We will be set up at Warriors Path State Park. We are asking anyone who will be attending to sign up below with what they are willing to bring. Click below to view signups and more information:
