IN RESTROSPECT

ANNUAL JURIED UofM BFA GROUP SHOW

OPENING RECEPTION

JUNE 7, 2024, 7-10PM / ARTIST TALK 8PM

Showcasing six recent UofM fine art graduates, In Retrospect brings together a diverse range of artworks created by the artists during their time at the UofM School of Fine Arts.  Artists: Sapphire Moroz, Adelle Rawluk, Matthew Wallbridge, Grete Drummond, Cecilia Thompson, Michaela Kachmar.

Initially, many of these works were exhibited for a short period at the School of Art Building on the UofM’s Fort Gary campus. This show unites these artworks once again, giving students an opportunity to emerge into the Winnipeg art scene and to celebrated among fellow Winnipeggers.  The Graffiti Gallery is excited to support these up-and-coming artists as they transition from the institutional context to the wider art world.

“Eminem’s music saved my life, he’s the reason I started rapping and writing rhymes. I want to make music to do the same thing for someone who has been down that same road. I want to inspire them to never give up on their dreams and to find something they’re good at; Like a lawyer or doctor, or a big time music artist like me”
