ADAM DEATHE SELECTED FOR PRESIDENT AND CEO POSITION

Adam Deathe new president for Asheboro/Randolph Chamber Announcement

On behalf of the Asheboro-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, we are pleased to announce Adam Deathe as the next president and chief executive officer.  The Board voted unanimously today to appoint Adam to the position effective July 15, 2024.  He currently serves as the president of Warroad Community Development in Warroad, Minnesota.

Your new chamber executive has the communication skills, collaboration expertise, and marketing knowledge to move our chamber to a new level of service for small, medium, and large size businesses.  Adam is committed to building a team of professionals, internally and externally, to lead your business organization and to strengthen the partnerships between local, state, and national government officials.

Adam was born in England and earned a Business Administration degree from the University of Derby and Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology, New Zealand.  He began his work career as a Financial Dealer with IPS Capital Management in Bath, England.  He also held positions with Anderselite as a Recruitment Consultant in Leeds, England; Director, Oliver Thornton Recruitment in Sunderland, England; and Economic and Regeneration Officer, South Tyneside Council in South Shields, England.

In 2014, Adam became Manager of the Durham Business Improvement District in Durham, England.  He focused his efforts on the creation of brands and events to develop and promote the city as well as championing partnerships working with city stakeholders.  In 2021, Adam moved to Atlanta, Georgia to work as Director of Business Development for Avid Wealth Management Group LLC.  In his current position with Warroad Community Development, he has led initiatives to develop a more sustainable and vibrant community for Warroad’s citizens and visitors. This has led to the development of Warroad Point Regional Park and other public access areas.

Please join us in welcoming Adam into his new role.  He is moving to Asheboro in early July.

We have gained new appreciation for the Asheboro-Randolph business community’s commitment to the chamber over the past several months.  Hundreds of hours have been spent collectively by members of the Search Committee reviewing candidates’ credentials, Zoom and in-person meetings, and conversations with numerous professionals.  Members of the search committee include: HR Gallimore, RE/MAX Central Realty, 2024 Chamber Chair; Kelly Heath, Asheboro City Council member, 2020 and 2021 Chamber Chair, Chamber Interim President and CEO; Mary Lisk, community volunteer and 2023 Chamber Chair; Kim Markham, Asheboro Recycling and 2012 Chamber Chair; Nicki McKenzie Hill, McKenzie Property and Investments and 2022 Chamber Chair; Dawn Morton, First Bank and current Chamber Treasurer; Darwin Smith, Asheboro Fire and Security and 2023 Chamber Chair; and Sheila Williams, Fidelity Bank and Incoming 2025 Chamber Chair.

Your commitment, financial support, and engagement in the Asheboro-Randolph Chamber is what makes our community move forward in a progressive and orderly fashion.  Thank you for your continued encouragement.  We look forward to seeing you at a chamber event soon!
