As you take the time to explore our website, you can draw a conclusion that we are a very active parish. Assumption BVM is a tight-knit family of faith, dedicated to our Blessed Mother, Mary. We are disciples of Jesus, who worship God and love our neighbor. ACTION GOOD NEWS,
Father Mike, Deacon Eric, and a company of ABVM music directors, cantors, readers, altar servers, and adult choir members recently caravanned to the WPVI studios in Philadelphia to pre-record two Sunday Masses. It was an interesting and enjoyable experience for all. Afterwards, our group was graciously invited to explore the newsroom and take souvenir photographs. Click on the Bulletin so you can see the photo of Father Mike and Deacon Eric looked like naturals hamming it up behind the news anchor desk. The Masses are scheduled for broadcast on 6ABC (channel 6) on Sunday, April 21st and Sunday, April 28th, from 5:30 to 6:00 am. Interested ABVM parishioners are encouraged to rise early and tune in.
Please pray for all the sick in Assumption B.V.M. Parish as well as for all those who are caring for them.
Names may be placed on the list by contacting the Rectory by phone at 215-357-1221. All of the names will be left on the list for a period of four weeks. If you would like your intention restored to the sick list for an additional four weeks, you must contact the Rectory and request it.
Enhanced Parish Communication by Facebook and Website
As a means to better communicate the various activities of our vibrant parish family, a suggestion came up during a recent parish meeting to include more photos on Facebook and our Website. With the exception of photos of children, please send photos of our parish events to info.abvm@gmail.com.

Mass for Seminarians
Save the date! The Knights of Columbus are sponsoring a Mass for our seminarians Brandon Schmidt and Theodore Zielinski on Sunday, April 28th at the 11:00 A.M. Mass. The Knights provide spiritual and financial assistance to young seminarians. You are invited to attend a parish social following the Mass to show support and celebrate our seminarians.
Grab your friends and get ready for a fun night of Bingo! St. John the Evangelist Youth Ministry is having a Designer Bag Bingo on Friday, April 19th. Tickets $25 in advance and $30 (cash only) at the door. Assumption Gift Card Program News McDonalds $10 and AutoZone $25 physical gift cards are now available for sale at the rectory. We no longer offer Wendys and Macys physical cards at the rectory due to lack of sales, but they can still be placed as special orders. Please contact the rectory 215-357-1221, Nancy X20 or Linda X33 with any questions. If you have any suggestions for other gift cards that you might purchase, please let us know and we will see what we can do.
From the Desk of the Facilities Manager.
As most of you know, I replaced the outgoing gentleman facilities manager last September and I am forever thankful and grateful for the opportunity that our pastor, Father Mike Davis, has given me. I have been working on many projects to help our parish thrive in many directions. I would like to thank everyone for their warm welcome and support and help!! A big shout out to the Knights of Columbus Regina Mundi Council 4052 for their ongoing support and dedication; not just for helping me but for helping our parish and our communities. Our parish is making several changes to the church, school, and convent as we move forward to enhance our facilities to improve safety and security for all of our parishioners and families.
