  2. I started Advisor Products in 1996 after working as a reporter at The New York Daily news and Worth.The company was different from the start because it was run by reporter. I covered personal finance since 1983. So our approach to marketing has always emphasized substance, education, and transparency.At the same time that I started Advisor Products, I began reporting on practice management at advisor trade publications, and I’ve written the Gluck Report for about 15 years. My research on practice management has led Advisor Products to develop modern systems streamlining secure client communications. Those are my kids, by the way, helping me get out very our first marketing campaign in late 1996.
