The State of Entrepreneurship

One of our tasks we've charged ourselves in helping to address is the level of entrepreneurs of color in Racine and Kenosha. We know that barriers do exist in competition, and doing business with various companies and organizations.

What do you feel are important areas that should be addressed in relation to creating an entrepreneurial culture and sparking interest in doing business with companies of color?

The Mission: What it means to you

At the top of this blog, the mission of the AABPA is emblazoned in large type as a reminder of why we exist, and what our continued focus is. It is always interesting to find out what this mission means to people within our organization, as well as those who are not as familiar with AABPA. As the first entry to the new AABPA blog, it was thought to be fitting to allow people the opportunity to voice their feedback and ideas as to what our mission means to you personally.

Please feel free to offer ideas or suggestions as this blog is a vehicle for communication, regardless of affiliation or non-affiliation with the African American Business & Professional Association. As a reminder, the mission of our organization is below:

To foster and facilitate economic empowerment and development among the African American community by promoting the principles of entrepreneurship, sustainability as well as financial interaction among African American business owners and professionals in Racine, Wisconsin.

What does this mean to you?
