Daina and Larry

Daina and Larry’s wedding was at the Trade Winds Resort in St Pete Beach. Her dress was amazing with lots of great detail. The day started out pretty warm but as the sun set it became cold fast. We managed to get some nice sunset images before we retreated to the reception. Everyone had a good time as George from Delite Entertainment was the DJ. We always like working with George. Daina and Larry had worked on a first dance number for a while and the practice paid off as it looked beautiful. They got back from their honeymoon and looked at their gallery, she says they “may need to upgrade their album” to more pages…we hear that a lot. Congratulations Daina and Larry!!!

Lynnette and Tim

Their wedding was at the Grand Plaza in St Pete Beach. What a great view from the reception room, up high overlooking the Bay. The weather was perfect for a beach wedding (we have done a number when it was really hot or really cold). Lynnette and Tim were very excited for their wedding day (which everyone should be ), no prompting by me to have them show affection towards each other. Her son, Marcos was quite happy as well. he made a good looking ring bearer. The flower girl was also very cute, they were on the dance floor together for several songs. Cheyrel florists had the perfect floral arrangement and Grande Occasions put everything together. They should be back from their honeymoon by now.

Here are only a few from their day.

Tiffany and Rob

The flower girls were totally adorable. Everyone really seemed like a close knit group. Tiffany and Rob had their church orchestra / band play the prelude music which was a nice change of pace. The wedding and reception were at the Quorum hotel in West-shore. Congrats Tiffany and Rob!blogone

Thanksgiving Day

One of the many things I enjoy about our church is how each year at Thanksgiving they give out large baskets of food to the families who have had a tuff year. Also, each single mom gets one too. This has always been something that has meant a lot to me. My mom raised me and my 3 older brothers, we often made her life pretty miserable.  Still she poured herself into our lives. We have much to be thankful for, hopefully we will remember this through out the year. www.mstarchurch.org

Also, some of our landscape HDR (high dynamic range) art is now being sold at a new store in downtown St Pete. Called L.Smith designs at 104 4th St North. Check them out.

Next week, I will show some images from Tiffany and Rob, also Lynnette and Tim’s weddings.

Lisa and Tim

Lisa and Tim flew in from San Diego for their wedding at the Safety Harbor Spa and Resort. Quite a large turn out for a destination wedding! For a while it looked like we might get some storms coming in, but they fell apart before they came in. It made for some dramatic background for the outdoor ceremony. Everything went very well, Lisa’s father surprised everyone with a very spirited father daugther dance. They are a very gracious couple. DeNeal and I wanted to stay in Anna Maria Island at out last wedding, but previous commitments made us come home. So we stayed at the Safety Harbor Resort. It was kind of nice to just say goodnight to every one at the wedding, and then go upstairs to our room!

We wish them the best.

Kristen and Tony

DeNeal and I photographed Kristen and Tony’s wedding on Anna Maria Island, the ceremony was at the Roser chapel and the reception at the “Waterside restaurant” Which of course is right on the water . You can see the Skyway bridge and ships coming and going. Kristen and tony are one of many couples who are reffered to us from past brides. The Roser chapel has a great atmosphere, like a small town feel. We wanted to get some beach sunset shots, but it was pretty overcast much of the day. Once we got there however, the colors were amazing! Everyone enjoyed the reception at the Waterside we really packed them in. Here are just a few of the images.

Halloween Party for ADJA

I photographed the annual halloween party put on by the American Disc Jockey Association www.tampaprodjs.com If any one can throw a party, it has to be a bunch of DJ’s! The food was great, there was this guy who made custom chocolate rum cakes (he is my new best friend ;_)  ). There were all kind of games and stuff going on. The party was for wedding professionals, caterers, officiants, venues, photographers, etc. Picking a DJ that fits your style is very important, also, the difference in a boring celebration and a great one is often a good DJ. Don’t forget to put these guys on your list!

Melinda and Johnny

Melinda and Johnny were married at St Nicholas Church in Tarpon Springs. A beautiful church for a wedding. Much symbolism in the ceremony.  The reception had Greek music played by a live band. The dancing looked quite authentic to me (but I am not a good dancer). The toasts included many wonderful moments as these two very special people tied the knot. Congrats!!!

Brooke and Mike

Brooke and mike were married at the Trade Winds Resort in St Pete Beach. The temps were surprisingly warm for October, but everyone survived just fine. The decorations were amazing, put together by Grande Occasions www.grandeoccasions.com A wonderful celebration with everyone getting involved on the

dance floor. Congratulations to Brooke and mike!

Becky and Dion

Becky and Dion were referred to us by one of our past brides (Tiffany and Martin). They were married at the Assembly of God church in Plant city. The reception was in the old Plant city high school. DeNeal captured some wonderful moments with Dion’s daughters during the ceremony, as they passed out tissues. The colors were very fall like, even though we don’t get much of that here in Florida. Everything went smoothly, which is always a good thing. The DJ was Bob Moore www.bobmooreentertainment.com He had plenty of games to keep the kids going, as there were lots of kids around. We also found some nice trees outside of the church for photos.
