Megan Hagaman
Megan Hagaman to Join KSHSAA Staff as Assistant Executive Director
The Kansas State High School Activities Association announces Dr. Megan Hagaman, EdD of Salina, Kansas will join its staff on July 1, 2024, as an Assistant Executive Director. Dr. Hagaman was selected in a national search from a strong field of highly qualified candidates. She will succeed Craig Manteuffel, who is retiring from the KSHSAA staff.

Spirit of Sport Award
KSHSAA Honors Athletic Officials for Dedication & Service
Each year, the Kansas State High School Activities Association recognizes and honors a select group of contest officials for their dedication and service to Kansas interscholastic athletic programs. The KSHSAA Official Recognition program started in the 1999-2000 school year to honor officials who have contributed significant years of service.

Kansas’ Merik Dismang Selected as 2024 National High School Spirit of Sport Award Recipient
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (March 14, 2023) — Merik Dismang, a four-sport Special Olympics Unified Sports® athlete from Olathe (Kansas) East High School, who is also battling cancer, has been selected the 2024 national recipient of the “National High School Spirit of Sport Award” by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS).
