As the management and operations contractor at the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site, Savannah River Nuclear Solutions is proud to partner with ACTS. Since 2008 the company has contributed $91,000 to support ACTS and its programs. “We know many in our region can find themselves one paycheck from financial hardship, so we’re grateful that ACTS and many other United Way agencies provide a needed safety net,” says SRNS Government & Community Relations Manager Chris Caldwell.

SRNS employees are strong supporters of ACTS, both financially and through volunteer activities. Two peer-led career development organizations that SRNS sponsors, AMP (Aspiring Mid-level Professionals) and LEAP (Leaders Emerging Among Professionals), have worked with ACTS through coordinated volunteer events and United Way-sponsored efforts. And many SRS retirees continue their legacy of giving to be strong volunteers for ACTS.

Poverty has ripple effects.

In our community, the effects of poverty are seen in broken families, lack of education, few work opportunities, health issues, crime, addiction, abuse…the list goes on.

Because all people are created with value, poverty keeps people from their potential. We believe when someone is kept from their potential, we all lose.

Join our diverse group of volunteers, donors, and staff to help move people from need to their potential, by fighting poverty and strengthening families…one person at a time.

Because each person we serve matters to God!
