The Omaha Park System

Omaha is home to more than 250 parks which encompass 11,000 acres of parkland. Parks help to create a sense of community by bringing neighborhoods together. Relax, play, exercise, or just take in a little fresh air and enjoy nature at one of our many parks or facilities.

Job Openings

Check out all the open positions at Parks and Recreation! All part-time and seasonal employees who join our team will enjoy access to all City of Omaha Pools and select Recreation Facilities!

Trail Updates

There are over 120 miles of paved trails throughout the City of Omaha with a number of those trails connecting to trails outside of the City. We are constantly working to improve the city’s multi-use recreational trails. If you encounter hazardous trail conditions, please report them at omahahotline.org.
