HOLLYWOOD PHONE HACKER ARRESTED

Posted in Scarlett Johansson on October 12, 2011 by fadedblog

Celebs can breathe a sigh of relief today.

The FBI has reportedly arrested the Hollywood hacker, the man who famously stole photos from the cellphones of stars and distributed them to celebrity websites.

The bureau’s year-long “Operation Hackerazzi” investigation of celebrity phone-hacking culminated Wednesday with the announcement that a Florida man has been arrested and charged with hacking into the emails of more than 50 people, including Scarlett Johansson, Christina Aguilera and Mila Kunis.

Christopher Chaney of Jacksonville allegedly hacked Google, Apple and Yahoo email accounts beginning last November and December, then arranged for copies of emails in those accounts to be sent to an account he controlled, according to the indictment handed up by a federal grand jury in Los Angeles.

Chaney is said to have offered some of the stolen material, including photographs, to celebrity sites, and some of the files and photographs were posted. Naked or near-naked pictures of Scar.Jo and Xtina have been posted on celebrity websites just in the last year. The FBI did not name most of the other victims.

Chaney is charged with 25 counts of identity theft, unauthorized access and unauthorized damage to a protected computer. He could get 121 years in prison if found guilty on all counts.

RASHIDA JONES CALLS MICHAEL JACKSON ‘A BIT OF AN ALIEN’

Posted in Rashida Jones on October 12, 2011 by fadedblog

As the daughter of music mogul Quincy Jones, Parks and Recreation star Rashida Jones has lots of interesting things to say in the 20Q section of the November issue of Playboy, on newsstands on Friday.

Some highlights:

On her childhood recollection of Michael Jackson: “Michael basically grew up with us, so I have a million memories of him. We were at each other’s house all the time,” says Jones. “He was definitely a little bit of an alien, for sure, and when I was young, it felt as if he was my age, not 18 years older, but with just a little bit more pep. Later, we’d go out on the town together. He always wore those surgical masks. Once, my sister, Michael, Emmanuel Lewis and I got in a car with Super Soakers and went by a movie theater and supersoaked the hell out of people waiting in line. They had no idea they’d just been supersoaked by the King of Pop.”

On growing up the daughter of famous parents: “Look, I have parents who have accomplished so much. I have a father who came from nothing and conquered the world. The last thing I’m going to do is sit here and spend his money and try to look pretty. That’s not interesting to me at all. I’ve been acting professionally for 15 years, and I’ve had to prove myself. Someone may think, Oh, everything was handed to her, but it doesn’t work that way. The nice thing about comedy in particular is that it’s a meritocracy. Funny people aren’t going to have you around because you know other people. You have to make people laugh.”

On what she would do if she could be anonymous for one day: “Probably do something naked somewhere. Streaking through a large crowd has always been a secret fantasy of mine. Disneyland would be fun. Or maybe just showing up at the Apple Store naked and picking up an iPod shuffle and pretending like nothing was wrong or different.”

On attracting lots of male attention: “On New Year’s Eve this guy came up to me really drunk and was like, ‘Oh my God, I love you. This is the best night of my life. I can’t believe I’m seeing you. This is amazing.’ Then he goes, ‘What’s your name?’ So that didn’t work out. We’re not getting married.”

On if she ever had sex in the White House while dating presidential speechwriter Jon Favreau: “Oh my God, no. I mean, have you been to the White House? People are sitting around watching you from every angle. They’re also, like, planning on how to keep us from economic collapse. They’re protecting our nation. They’re not having sex. Well, I mean, I know sex has occurred in the White House. Just not with me.”

On her desire to run for public office someday: “I would like to. I’d love to be senator, governor or even work for a nonprofit, just to do something for the public sector. Life is long and really unpredictable, but I’d like to do a lot with the time I have. My dad told me a long time ago to live life in love and not in fear. I know that sounds really vague and hokey, but it can be applied so often. When I make decisions based in fear, they’re always wrong for me.”

MICHELLE OBAMA: I FREQUENTLY SNEAK OUT OF THE WHITE HOUSE

Posted in Michelle Obama on October 12, 2011 by fadedblog

During her appearance on the Today show this morning, Michelle Obama revealed that she can often be found walking out and about in Washington. In fact, her recent trip to Target wasn’t that unusual.

“I do that more frequently than people realize. And It’s amazing how people don’t recognize you,” she said. “They don’t expect to see me at Starbucks or at Chipotle. I actually took Bo to Petco and the cashier asked me, “Oh what kind of dog is that?’ I said, ‘A Portuguese water dog.’ He didn’t recognize us, because he didn’t expect that we would be in Petco.’

Mrs. O. admitted, “My secret’s out, but we try to sneak out as much as possible. It helps to keep our kids lives’ normal.”

So the cashier at Target didn’t even look twice at the credit card?

“He recognized me,” she said, but added that it’s amazing how “plenty of people” simply don’t because they can’t believe it.

“I’ve been in Baskin and Robbins a number of times. You know how the kids aren’t really paying attention. They’re looking right through me.”

Host Al Roker then asked if she made sneak trips to Costco to buy toilet paper. “Um, we pretty much have our supplies stocked,” said the First Lady.

EMMA STONE HOSTS GIORGIO ARMANI/VANITY FAIR PRIVATE DINNER

Dressed to dazzle, Emma Stone hosted the Giorgio Armani/Vanity Fair private dinner In Los Angeles on Tuesday night (October 11).

Joined by fellow actresses Katie Holmes and Jessica Alba, the ravishing redhead looked fabulous in her strapless Armani frock as she spent the evening celebrating all things fashion and film.

Meanwhile, Emma says her father would “kill” her if she ever posed naked.

The Help star – who is rumoured to be dating her Spider-Man co-star Andrew Garfield – has ruled out baring all in a film, as her dad would never speak to her again if she flashed the flesh on screen.

“My dad would kill me if I posed naked,” she says. “He wouldn’t speak to me again and I really love my dad, so that’s always something that makes me a little nervous.”

Despite their reservations about nudity in films, Emma admits her parents always made her feel as though she could achieve anything in her career.

She adds in an interview with You magazine: “They are the coolest parents in the world. They taught us responsibility and the need to own up to our actions and that honesty really is the only policy. My parents always made me feel as though I could do anything – not in a cheerleading, ‘You’re the greatest!’ kind of way; it was more, ‘You’re going to have to work hard, but we’ll support you however we can.'”
