Seriously. . . If you give someone a quote, I think you should be in the ballpark.

I got a site quote for a dent in my car. He said, $450. . .since they might have to paint it. I said that another shop got out a similar dent without paint. Then the guy said. . .okay, $300 because it might take some extra "time". I said. . .okay never mind, my deductible is $250, so I might as well file a claim. Then he said. . . Okay, we'll do it for $250. Sound shady?. . yeah that's what I thought.

So I went to a Statefarm recommendation and went to West Coast Auto Specialties. They fixed it for $100 flat. When I showed the dent to them, they said. . .Oh we can get that out easily!

I know I'm a girl. . .but really! How dumb do you think I am!???

So if you want to pay 3 times the cost, go to these guys. Hey some people like to throw away their money. . . I don't.

NOTE: I did not mention I was a college student. In fact I used to work as an automotive engineer. Also I went to a shop that does high end cars such as porches, mercedes, ferrari's. ..and they did not try to get more money out of me. I should have gone straight to them first.

seriously, how do you have a falling apart 10 yr old car never get hit, then you *finally* treat yourself to an upgrade and BAM someone rear-ends you? how? why? and it was less than 24 hrs into my winter vacation!

luckily the lady was super nice, apologetic and gave me a hug while i shakily wrote down her information. double luck she had wawanesa which appears to be one of the best auto insurance companies out there. and triple luck i already knew about bumper authority and their great work.

insurance companies are contracted with certain businesses to get their quotes...but you can take your car anywhere for the repair. and if my previous review doesn't speak for itself already, i am here to report back that my bumper is back to perfect condition. the whole experience was just another bump in the road, heh, thanks to all the fantastic service i got.

steven and his crew will take great care of you and your vehicle. they will drop you back home and pick you up will its ready, if you aren't terribly far away. they are open on saturdays - this is key, as other competing businesses arent open on the weekend. aaaand they are moving locations to miramar for a much nicer and bigger facility:

all this is secondary to the fact that the crew at bumper authority are highly skilled, detail-oriented, and do great work.

i was leaving for vacation through christmas and was able to drop my car off the day of my flight, get a drive back home, an email update of how it was going, and have it ready just in time for my return so i didnt need a rental car (even though the insurance covered it, it was just more headache). the fact that they were able to make the deadline during the holidays meant a lot to me. if i had gone with the insurance body shop, i would have been without my car for 4 additional days since i returned on the weekend and then running into NYE and day. so happy to know this business!

Great business. I worked with Peto (or Beto, sorry for screwing up the name). He went above and beyond.

I had a quote from Pacific NIssan body shop to do work on my Audi for $1300. Bumper Authority got it done for $350. On top of the bumper scuff that I came in for, they also touched up several other paint dings that I had.

The key thing is their willingness to put in the extra effort.

I will start off to say that I am the most picky guy when it comes to my cars. I was recommended to go to Bumper Authority which I was a bit reluctant because I only dealt with Dealers. Well to my surprise they were super freindly and was willing to listen to what I have to say. They did not BS me, fllexable, very honest, knowleadgeable, and price is reasonable. I had a big dent on my bumper which dealers told me I had to replace the whole bumper. Bumper Authority has fixed it and I cant even tell. It looks like a new bumper. they also went ahead and clear up some smugges I had on the fenders. I will bring all my cars and friends cars to them.

I found Bumper Authority on www.bbb.org Better Business Bureau website and to my happy surprise, they are right next door to my one and only favorite auto repair shop in San Diego,Ca. which is Advanced Automotive. I asked Ted at Advanced Automotive and he said I was in good hands with Steven at Bumper Authority plus Bumper Authority's rating at bbb.org was good so I gave them a try. Well! Ted was right....Steven and his staff took excellent care of my car and my back bumper looked pristeen when he handed me the keys. Excellent people to work with.....whatever it takes to make the customer happy attitude.

This shop has the BEST customer service EVER!

Monday I needed an estimate to have a bumper repaired for a car which was damaged by a family member.

I emailed Steven several photos of the damage. He gave me a great competitive honest estimate! Called me on the phone to discuss my options and worked closely with myself and the owner of the damaged car. (for the record... I also got estimates from 3 other body shops. I chose Steven based on our conversations. He was very attentive while calm and assuring. Great personality! Plus Bumper Authority has GREAT Yelp reviews.)

Needless to say it is Tuesday afternoon the day after - the car has already been repaired. The owner is VERY HAPPY with the repairs, Steven's customer service and the ease with which all the details were handled are unmatched.

Steven kept to his word on the cost of the repair including the car rental fee!!!

What more could anyone ask for? It is really refreshing to work with true professionals who do a good job and care about you as a person as well as caring about your car.

I am recommending this shop to everyone I know!

BEST EXPERIENCE donig business with Bumper Authority.

I purchased a deal online for a car detail. I had an opportunity to arrive at Bumper Authority early and was greated with a very pleasant person who wanted to check over the car and he did have some recommendations for additional service. I appreciated their honesty and suggestions.

When I came back after 3 hours of tender loving care, I was extremely pleased with the shine and polish of the car and the extra touches that were needed and very affordable. I was very pleased with the detailer, the greater and most of all the owner Steven Moran. He is quite proud of his business and his employees. He even gave me a tour of his business and encouraged me to tell my friends about his business. I am going one step further. Tell you all about my positive experience on Yelp.

I plan to bring my other car to Bumper Authority very soon.

This was my first experience with taking care of repairs to my personal car. I was so unfamiliar with the process and insurance run-around that I actually put it off until I happened to run into Steve with Bumper Authority.

Steve met me for an estimate for a paint job (different accident) on my bumper and quoted me something very, very reasonable. He then saw the original damage I was working with and gave me an estimate and. I told him it would be through insurance and that is when it became clear at how easy everything would be through Bumper Authority.

Bottom line, this was an amazing experience because Steve not only took care of all of the damages with my car, but he and his staff did an awesome job of making sure I basically did nothing and dealt with the insurance himself. As an added perk, my car was done in approximately 4 days and he even put me in a rental car with Enterprise right next door. Letting Enterprise know that Bumper Authority was doing my repairs, and they made it even easier because of the great relationship between them.

Come the day when my car was ready I can't even describe at how flawless it looked after the repairs. There is no possible way to know that damage (totaling over $1,600) had ever taken place and I solely attribute that to the great work that Steve and his crew did. They even did a great job with the detail and head-light restoration that I was getting compliments on how new my car looked. It was a great feeling.

This is hands down my only place for repairs and I will without a doubt be doing business at Bumper Authority again.

Seriously they brought my car's paint job back to life!
The team at Bumper Authority did an awesome detail job on my car. Steven the owner and Chris made sure they took care of my 2002 black Tahoe's paint job back to life! I like giving my business to companies that have an hands on owner as I also run a business. Steven the owner made sure I was 100% satisfied with the service.
