One of the attractions is the new line of backhoe loaders, with the B110C and B95C models. The new products come with improvements and benefits, bringing even more operational comfort, savings to the customer and increased productivity.

New Holland Construction also introduced the W12D, an upgrade of the renowned 10-tonne 12D Evo wheel loader.

The machine stands out for its joystick controls, which provide more intuitive operation, more efficient manoeuvrability, and reduced operator fatigue.

The brand also presented the W12D Fertilizer version equipped with an armored alternator, engine with special varnish protection, structures and chassis without sharp corners, sensors, wiring harnesses protected with special silicone, as well as a 2.3m³ bucket.

The brand also brought a new product to its portfolio: the E35D mini excavator. This is the first mini-excavator model with its own technology and with all the expertise of Sampierana, acquired by CNH in 2021.

Suitable to meet varied needs, the machine is ideal for light demolition work, work in urban areas, road and sidewalk maintenance, sanitation, landscaping and residential projects.

The brand expanded its product portfolio bringing another equipment option: the W80C compact loader, pre-launched for Brazil and Latin America.

"This new technology reinforces our leadership in the development of alternative, more sustainable fuels that deliver the same energy and operational efficiency as a conventional tractor, in addition to having a better cost-benefit ratio for the farmer," said Eduardo Kerbauy, New Holland's vice president for Latin America.

Biomethane propulsion technology offers numerous environmental advantages, including up to 80% reduction in emissions compared to a standard diesel engine. By using biomethane, the carbon impact of the machine is virtually zero, and a cost reduction of between 25% and 40% can be achieved when compared to conventional fuels.

Ami Camara: Charting a Path for Success in the Corporate World

As Comcast’s inaugural Military Spouse Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) Fellow, Ami Camara has not only advanced her career but also set a path for others to follow in her footsteps. Her story, marked by frequent relocations and the overarching demands of military life, reflects the reality many military spouses face as they struggle to maintain continuity in their professional lives.

"This fellowship has been a transformative experience for me, opening doors to opportunities I once thought were out of my reach," Camara said. "For years, I had to put my career aspirations on hold to support my husband's service, often turning down promising job offers and leaving positions I loved. But now, at Comcast, I've found a supportive environment that truly understands and accommodates the unique challenges of being a military spouse.”

“As I continue to build my career here, I hope my journey inspires other military spouses to pursue their own professional goals, knowing that with the right support, they too can succeed," she added.

Following her fellowship, Camara transitioned into a permanent role as Customer Project Manager. She also looks forward to joining Comcast’s Veterans Network (VetNet) employee resource group, where she can mentor and support military spouses like herself.

Mona Dexter serves as the Vice President of Military and Veteran Affairs at Comcast NBCUniversal. As a former military spouse and the mother of a service member, she has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by military families. Her leadership and insight are invaluable in shaping our company's efforts to support this community.

“Military spouses are often overlooked in the workforce due to confusing resumes and frequent career breaks. Despite being highly educated and skilled, we face a staggering unemployment rate of over 20%, which is nearly four times higher than the national average,” Dexter said. “It’s essential that we recognize the value of military spouses in the workplace and provide opportunities that foster inclusivity and growth.”

Under Dexter’s guidance, Comcast NBCUniversal has continued to lead the way in corporate advocacy for military spouses. In sports, an athlete’s ability to maintain mental focus is what leads to their performance. However, data has shown that there is a high rate of mental health stigma among student athletes.

To help break down these barriers, on May 21, 2024, AEG’s LA Galaxy and LA Galaxy Foundation hosted a panel session “A Global View on Mental Health,” that featured LA Galaxy defender Maya Yoshida and forward Miguel Berry and was moderated by LA Galaxy alumnus Cobi Jones in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month.

The session was presented by Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, Dignity Health, and Purina and attended by over 140 youth from the LA Galaxy Academy and the boys’ and girls’ soccer teams from Carson High School.

It was designed to help raise awareness among high school soccer athletes about the importance of talking about mental health and how to prepare oneself mentally as an athlete and shared strategies about mental wellness and how to employ positive coping mechanisms.

The mission of the Los Angeles Galaxy Foundation is to advance the game of soccer and use it as a vehicle for positive change throughout Southern California communities. Gen Releases 2024 Social Impact Report: Protecting and Empowering People in the Digital World

Since high school, Gisela Martinez has been actively volunteering in her community. She joined Owens Corning as an intern in 2017, and she brought her passion for service to her role almost immediately when Mexico City, Mexico, was struck by an earthquake. Gisela helped lead her co-workers into action, providing food, clothing, and more. Upon moving into her current role, she has continued to lead the way in volunteerism, bringing people together to help in meaningful ways in Mexico City and beyond.

On our human approach to corporate citizenship 

Owens Corning is always trying to reach as many people as possible, and that is achievable with all the fantastic people that volunteer. I personally always try to help more people every year as an objective. We care about the people we’re giving back to and how we are impacting their lives. When the Community Engagement team came to Mexico City in 2023 to present the Volunteer of the Year award, they were able to see how our contributions have helped many girls in vulnerable situations, or children suffering terminal cancer, or a 13-year-old who arrived at the Hummingbird House in an unresponsive state who now is able to walk, talk in English, and enjoy being a kid again. That’s why I always suggest taking some extra time to visit the associations you’re benefiting with your work and donations, so you’ll see firsthand how you are making the world — and their world — a better place.

On the ways community engagement fits with sustainability 

I believe that there’s no way a company can claim to be sustainable without benefiting the people around them and showing them our value as a neighbor and a socially responsible citizen. That’s why it’s important to include community engagement and giving back to our community in our approach to sustainability, as this is bringing us closer to our aspirations as a company.

On engaging employees at the plant level 

In Mexico and Latin America, we all do informal volunteering — helping people around us in our community, like relatives, neighbors, or victims of a natural disaster. But when we ask people in operations to come and volunteer in a formal system, it can be hard for them. We offer more diverse programs so people will have something to engage with. If they don’t feel close to a certain cause, they always have different options, and they’re welcome to bring new projects to the table. I always tell them to try it once and if they don’t like it, hopefully there is going to be something else they are interested in. Now, after six years of running this, I have people asking me when they’re going to be able to volunteer again. This year, we’ve been seeing more participation from people in the plant because we’ve been offering more activities on weekends. Also, we donate our own insulation materials, and our co-workers love to see where the material they make is going. When they see the faces of the people who benefit from their hard work, they get even more engaged.

But they’re also vital for continued advocacy for equality, celebrating diversity, and providing a safe space for LGBTQIA+ individuals to meet and thrive.

Depending on where you’re thinking of hosting a Pride event, they can also be a really powerful way to educate allies and provide meaningful connections.

Planning your Pride event

Thoughtful planning is key to creating a memorable and impactful Pride event, wherever you decide to have one. A few things to consider include:

What’s your goal?

Determine the purpose of your event. Is it to raise awareness and funds, foster community among individuals, or celebrate achievements? Clarifying your objectives will guide your planning process, so it’s best to get clear on this early.

Choose an inclusive venue

If there isn’t already a pre-determined location, like your workplace, select a location that is accessible to all attendees, including those with disabilities. You’ll want to consider the venue's reputation for inclusivity and its commitment to providing a safe space for LGBTQIA+ individuals. A good spot for selfies doesn’t hurt, either.

Keep it diverse

We come in all flavors — so ensure that your event reflects the diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community. Include representation from different identities, including people of color, transgender individuals, and those with disabilities. You might even consider partnering with LGBTQIA+ organizations to broaden your event’s reach and perspective.

Provide learning opportunities

Incorporating workshops, panels, or discussions on LGBTQIA+ history, current issues, and allyship can deepen participants' understanding and foster a more inclusive environment. This is just as important for young queer people as it is for people who aren’t part of the LGBTQIA+ community. We have a rich, storied history that’s worth talking and learning about.

Prioritize safety and inclusivity

Implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and comfort of all attendees. This may include providing gender-neutral restrooms, establishing a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination or rude comments, and offering support resources for individuals in need.

Hosting Pride in different settings

If you want to host your own Pride event, you’ve got options. You can make these events as big or small as you’d like and as serious or playful as you feel is appropriate.

In the workplace

Organizing a Pride event in the workplace demonstrates a commitment to diversity and inclusion. Consider hosting a lunchtime panel discussion on LGBTQIA+ experiences in the workplace, organizing a company-wide diversity training, or hosting sessions on how to be a supportive colleague. Of course, don’t skip out on decorating communal areas with Pride-themed decorations!

Community Pride event

This is an opportunity to bring together your neighbors and celebrate LGBTQIA+ culture. Collaborate with local queer organizations, businesses, and artists to host performances, art exhibits, and community forums. Parade marches, picnics, and film screenings are also popular options for community Pride celebrations. These take a bit more work, but the payoff can be huge.

Intimate gathering among friends

Hosting a small Pride gathering among friends can be just as meaningful. Create a welcoming atmosphere with Pride-themed decorations, music, and refreshments. Because this is a smaller event, you may want to play closer attention to the guest list to make it more likely that your attendees will mesh well together and hopefully even learn from one another. Encourage attendees to share their stories, experiences, and aspirations for the LGBTQIA+ community.

The day-long session at L.A. LIVE offered students a chance to participate in a panel discussion and hear first-hand from industry professionals about jobs in the sports and live events industry. Panelists from across AEG’s divisions -- Goldenvoice, AEG Presents, AXS, and Crypto.com Arena -- shared their career experiences, wisdom, and guidance with the aspiring students.

Following the panel session, the City of Los Angeles’ Deputy Mayor, Brenda Shockley, and AEG’s President and CEO, Dan Beckerman spoke with the students about the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workforce.

LIVE campus and the GRAMMY Museum, and watched performances by the Inglewood High School Marching Band and the Divine Nine. They ended the day at a reception on the Ray Charles Terrace at the GRAMMY Museum where they could network with industry leaders and peers.

“We are very proud of our partnership with EICOP and the work we are doing to foster a pipeline of diverse talent across the live entertainment and sports industry,” said April Barfield, Senior Manager, University Relations, AEG Employee Services and Talent Management. “Together, we are providing critical access and opportunities for HBCU students and paving the way for them to build careers in this dynamic field.”

The company is No. 60 on the EPA’s National Top 100 List of the largest green power users from the Green Power Partnership (GPP), No. 14 on the Top 30 On-site Generation list and No. 34 on EPA’s list of Green Power Partners from the Fortune 500®. Whirlpool Corp. is currently purchasing more than 301 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of energy from renewable sources annually, which represents 86 percent of its operations’ total power needs and is equivalent to the annual electricity use of nearly 28,000 average American homes.

Whirlpool Corporation’s goal is to use onsite renewable power where possible for manufacturing sites – primarily wind and solar energy. Secondary to that, the company has invested in two virtual power purchasing agreements (VPPAs), <a href="https://whirlpoolcorp.com/whirlpool-corporation-celebrates-ribbon-cutting-for-second-offsite-wind-farm/" target="_blank">Limestone Wind</a> in Dawson, Texas, with 53MW of clean energy produced from 88 turbines and <a href="https://whirlpoolcorp.com/move-forward-on-sustainability-journey-wind-farm-project-west-texas/" target="_blank">Mesquite Sky</a> in Callahan County, Texas. When fully operational, the VPPAs are expected to generate sufficient renewable energy to cover 100% of Whirlpool Corporation’s U.S. sites’ electrical consumption.

“Adding clean, renewable energy to the electrical grid while helping to reduce the company’s carbon footprint is an important part of our ongoing sustainability initiatives and will help us meet our Net Zero by 2030 goal for our operations,” said Beat Stocker, senior director of global sustainability at Whirlpool Corp. “We are proud to be recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for being a leader in the green power market.”

By moving the needle in the voluntary green power market, Whirlpool and other Green Power Partners are helping to reduce the negative health impacts of air emissions including those related to ozone, fine particles, acid rain, and regional haze.

“Onsite renewable energy at our manufacturing facilities comes with its own challenges, but it’s key to our strategy because it contributes to global decarbonization efforts while also reducing demand on local and national electricity grids,” said Scot Blommel, senior manager of global sustainability and net zero program lead for Whirlpool Corporation.

“This list of the largest users of green power across the nation is proof that good business practices can also benefit the environment,” said James Critchfield, Program Manager of 

EPA’s Green Power Partnership. “EPA applauds the leading organizations in the Green Power Partnership’s Top Partner Rankings for their notable commitment to expanding their use of green power and protecting the environment.”

Supported by their focus on green power, in 2023 Whirlpool Corp. saw a ~25% reduction in scopes 1 and 2 market-based emissions year-over-year for the last two years. In addition, they achieved ~7% reduction in Scope 3, category 11 emissions from products in use.
