STUDENT ATTENDANCE

24 Hour Attendance Line: 249-6463 (this is an automated line, please leave a message)

There are two ways to report a student absent or tardy

Call the attendance line
Send a message via Parent Square (when in "New Message", search for "Somerville", select "Jennifer Somerville")

**When leaving/sending a message please include the following information:

Your student's name, grade and House
Reason for the absence or tardiness (please be specific regarding illness symptoms)

Ways to report an early dismissal

1. Call the attendance line and leave a message

Please leave student's name, reason for early dismissal, and name of person picking up the student.
Please give the attendance office at least a 40 minute window before needed dismissal.
This person must come into the building to sign out student at the security desk.
If this person is NOT in the student's Infinite Campus, their ID will need to be shown.

2. Send a note to school with a parent signature

3. Send a message via Parent Square

For options 2 & 3, student may sign themselves out with the attendance secretary and come to your car

The following are considered excused absences:

Student Illness
Medical Appointments
Home Instruction
Appointments with school personnel
Bereavement
Court Appearances
Religious Observances

The following are considered unexcused absences:

Family Vacation
Oversleeping
Private transportation issues
Private lessons
Personal reasons
