Cake Boss and Buddy Valastro
Buddy Valastro inherited his family’s bakery in 1994 when his father, Bartolo, died. He began to work at Carlo’s when he was just 11 years old and learned everything about the business from his father.
The bakery’s exposure on Cake Boss has led to an influx of customers, with lines out the door. Buddy and the gang now ship Carlo’s goodies to fans nationwide, as well as operate two Carlo’s Bakery Express ATMs in Canada.
Cake Boss
The show has rocketed Valastro to celebrity status, spawned tons of spinoffs, and made fondant a household name. It’s also helped Buddy and his family expand their business. They now have Carlo’s Bakery locations in New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, and Nevada, as well as three sit-down restaurants in Las Vegas.
Buddy is a naturally outgoing guy and felt at home in front of the camera. He had already competed on four Food Network challenges, and he was familiar with how the show works. Executives at TLC were impressed with his charm and his ability to keep viewers engaged.
The past year has been life-changing for Buddy and his family, with a devastating injury to his dominant hand followed by the birth of his daughter. However, they’ve come back stronger, and have a deeper appreciation for family. They’re now more motivated than ever to make people happy with their over-the-top cakes and authentic Italian recipes.
Carlo’s Bakery
Many people associate Carlo’s Bakery with Buddy Valastro and the TLC show Cake Boss. However, the bakery’s roots are rooted in old-school, family tradition. It was founded by Carlo Guastaferro on a quiet street in Hoboken in 1910. He ran the bakery for decades before selling it to Bartolo Valastro Sr., the father of Buddy.
Buddy’s passion for the business helped him earn his famous moniker, “Cake Boss.” He has since expanded with spin-off shows like Next Great Baker and Bakery Boss Rescue. In addition, he has opened his own restaurants and bakeries, including in Las Vegas and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
The original location is located in Hoboken, NJ, and serves up a variety of cakes, pastries, and desserts. It also has a large dining room where customers can enjoy their treats while watching the chefs in action. The bakery also ships its products nationwide. Its most popular items are lobster tail and cannoli. They also sell a variety of Italian food, including ravioli and panini.
Buddy Valastro Cakes
After 14 seasons of Cake Boss and several spinoffs, Buddy Valastro continues to work with his family at Carlo’s Bakery. He and his team (including his mom, brothers, sisters, and cousins) produce thousands of wedding cakes, specialty desserts, and cookies each week. While the bakery is booming with restaurants, nationwide shipping, and automated cake vending, Buddy still finds time to create some of the most mind-blowing cakes around.
Some vocations just don’t lend themselves to being depicted in frosting, but Buddy was happy to oblige a local plumbing company by building them a life-sized toilet for their 100th birthday. For a Halloween episode, he made a coffin cake featuring a man inside that squirted blood when bitten.
In addition to his bakery, Buddy has a series of cookbooks and other baking-related products. He’s even partnered with Chuck E. Cheese to offer delectable cake slices in select locations nationwide. These treats are a must-try for any chocolate lover.
Valastro’s Cakes
The popular TLC show Cake Boss has brought Buddy Valastro’s big personality and zany family to the masses. Since the first season started in 2009, it has made Valastro famous and even inspired spinoffs such as Next Great Baker, Kitchen Boss, and Bake You Rich. He is also the author of a new cookbook, Family Celebrations with the Cake Boss.
The family-owned business started in 1910 and has been passed down through the generations. Their cakes are known for their gravity-defying designs and incredible flavor combinations. The bakery recently opened a new location in New York City’s Times Square.
This location features a large display of their signature creations and is decorated with a blend of tradition and modern flair. The new location also offers a range of smaller cakes, bakery products, and Cake Boss merchandise. They are also currently shipping their popular cakes to customers across the country. Additionally, they are offering a new cake mix kit, which includes the perfect cake recipe, icing, and two disposable cake pans.
