22 hours ago I got an email and text from USCIS saying, "we have taken action on your case" but there haven't been any updates to my case (I-485 standalone) online. I've read a lot about this happening so I know it's pretty common. Unfortunately it's the weekend so I can't talk to a live agent via Emma which is frustrating! The anticipation is killing me!!

For people who have also had this happen, how long did it take before something updated or appeared in the documents tab?

For reference here's a summary of my timeline:

I-485 received: November 6th, 2023

RFE: November 20th, 2023

RFE sent/received: December 5th, 2023

Biometrics & active review: December 11th, 2023

Case transferred to FO: May 8th, 2024

Email/text saying action has been taken on case: June 8th, 2024

It s been almost 10 years since I referenced this site for my green card and citizenship process.

Now looking to bring sibling and family to the US and have many questions:

Sibling and his wife are both 42 and have 2 children (9 & 7).

1) If Visa is granted, will this be a path to citizenship? If so, how many years until they become eligible?

2) How many years do they have to work to become eligible for Medicare at retirement age?

3) If/when Visa is granted, do they have work authorization immediately?

4) Current processing times? Understand this could be upwards of 10 years but wondered if anyone else has recently gone through this and can share their timeline.

Hello all, Im going the CR-1 route as petitioner and have a criminal record from 15 years ago, it may or may not trigger an RFE as i have assault,shoplifting, and domestic violence all as misdemeanors. I have already contacted the courthouse where all of my charges were heard and they say that they do not keep records past 8 years, I have also contacted the clerk and they stated that records are not kept after 12 years. My question is, where the heck do I even look for my records if no one has them. If im hit with an RFE i may have to fly to california from indiana depending on where i need to go.

any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Note: all of my charges were expunged under 1203.4, dont know if it is realivant

I m a US citizen and my spouse (beneficiary) is from Argentina but is eligible for an Italian passport, which in theory would allow her to visit the US with only an ESTA (VWP country). My question is, would this present issues with the processing of the application? Would she need to prove intent to return to her country beyond having a return ticket even though it s not a travel visa?

The other concern is that she d be traveling with our newborn baby who has my last name (different from hers), so she ll need a letter of consent to travel with the baby which would presumably indicate that she s traveling to the US to visit her US citizen spouse. The last thing we want is for them to be turned away at the airport in the US.

Hello everyone, I found this forum and hope to get some advice and help.

I entered the country with a B1/B2 tourist visa visiting my boyfriend (american citizen). Well I also figured out I am pregnant of him and now we dont want to separate, and we want to marry and I want to stay. There is so many things and all the forms and we dont want to do anything wrong, and maybe this post could also help others to get an overview what should have done.

- what is that 90 days rules? do I have to wait 90 days? or can we file right away after marriage and no time to wait?

- which forms do we need to file?

- do you print all forms and send it by mail or is it possible to file online?

- when is the process can I get or apply for a SSN ? Or do I get it after the process is finish?

- can I get a work permission sooner?

- I read about evidence, what should we send as evidence?

I m looking forward to get as much advice and info as possible and very thankful for your response.
