The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair takes place every November in the City of Toronto. Whether you’re a visitor or an exhibitor, The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair is jam-packed with home-grown fun and the best in local food and animal entertainment.
The Royal is the largest combined indoor agriculture fair and international equestrian competition in the world. It is where Canadian and international breeders, growers and exhibitors are declared champions and where hundreds of thousands of attendees come to learn, compete, shop and have a great time with friends and family.
The 2023 Royal Ambassador is Kay. The polled dorset ewe, is part of our history just like the previous beloved Royal Ambassadors, which includes Winston the Percheron Cross, Turbo the Goat, Lil’ Ben the Miniature Horse, and rooster-duo, The Royal Duke and his son The Royal Roy.
We’ve have been on a quest for the next member of ‘Royalty’ to represent us this November. The search has led us to an exciting discovery, and we’re thrilled to unveil the 2024 Official Ambassador very soon.

The Royal commissioned a Canadian tartan designer to create a 100th-anniversary tartan, accredited by the Scottish Register of Tartans. The design brings to life “A Century of Champions” with 100 threads of royal blue and 22 threads of dark blue (representing the Fair’s centennial span – 1922-2022).
