My kid's favorite place for camp. Each week has a different theme in the summer. If you do the full day camps they have a morning field trip (playground or museum) and then after lunch they do the science part of the day. Kids love making slime, learning about x-rays, and making crazy concoctions in the lab. They really keep the kids busy with activities.

I signed up for one of their one day camp 2 weeks ahead of time and showed up in the morning. They were closed and there was no one to answer the phone.
I had to come back home with my child after waiting for about 1 hour in front of the door.
      No call, no email, nothing.

I had to cancel my work schedule to stay with my child at home, and I did not even receive a proper apology until I called them later in the afternoon.

I don't know if I can trust their camp schedule anymore.

Worst customer service I've experienced with any merchant. I initially booked my sons birthday back in March to be celebrated in May. Due to the pandemic I feared that business would be closing so back in March I tried to get in touch with them on several occasions to find out the protocol of how refunds and cancellations would be handled at which I had no response from the merchant to any of my voicemails. I finally got an email from them on March 30th stating that they'd be closing due to governors orders. I replied back via email to please issue a refund since I would not be able to use the credit in the year time frame they had granted. No email response from them, I reached out again on 04/06 to follow up on my refund request, at which again, no response from them. I finally sent one final email letting them know that if no response was granted from them, I would file a dispute with my bank. The owner responded with a rude and abrupt response saying that they will not issue a refund because they have bills and obligations - umm... we're going through a national pandemic - who isn't going through financial woes at this time? At which point I myself was stressing about the future of my job, the fact that I couldn't celebrate my sons birthday and the merchant was nothing short than awful at handling this situation. I've filed a dispute with my bank and I'm really disappointed that the merchant continues to cause trouble by saying they will not grant my refund. I am upset that business owners like this one only care about their bottom line and not about finding a peaceful resolution with their clients. I would have been a returning client had they just issued the refund and not made such a hassle. This business owner is obviously selfish and based on previous reviews I can tell they wont be in business for long. I will make sure I file a complaint with the better business bureau.

This place is fantastic! It's the kind of place I wish had been around when I was a kid!

The first thing that hits you when you walk in the Curiosity Zone is that everything is kid sized. The doors, the chairs, the big long tables, everything has been designed with kids in mind and the colors are so bright and vibrant! The classrooms are glassed in so parents can stay and watch if they like, this also helps when it's time to go home.

What hits you next are the sounds of kids squealing, singing and cheering over ... science! My science classes in school were dreadful and I was lucky if I stayed awake through attendance. These kids were "oohing" and "aahing" over an experiment involving liquids and solids! How do you do that?!

The teachers seemed wonderful, sing-songy and just as enthusiastic as the kids were about the experiments. The woman at the front desk was wonderful and before she could get my friend's child out of class he came running out of the classroom brimming with information about how to make "guk" at home and how he knew the secret recipe and what happens when you dissolve a solid in to a liquid.

Seriously, the kid was high on science!

They also, apparently, do summer camps and birthday parties. If the Curiosity Zone was around when I was a kid I would have lived there! The Curiosity Zone gets an all caps FIVE STARS!

My son went to a 5-year old's party here today. It was a slime party where they made bouncy balls using borax & glue; some slimey goo to play with; and then some substance that was liquid and moldable, but as soon as you stopped molding, it turned to goo again. So cool! There were secret doors and tunnels into the different party rooms. They also have a Shadow Board that the kids get to make their shadows on a glow in the dark board. All around good time for the kids!

Plus, the little shop out front had some neat toys. Ones you don't find at Toys R Us. Great place for your budding scientist! :)

I enrolled my son back in April for spring break week thinking if he likes it i will celebrate his birthday there . However, due to Covid things didn't work out as planned and due to lockdown they cancelled classes. I emailed them and i got a reply saying they'll get back to me soon then there was nothing. I emailed again for a refund because at this point all the schools had announced closing till end of year and it didn't seem like places would open anytime soon and after two emails i got an email asking me if i was interested in science kits , ( it was a survey) . I declined the offer as we already have a kiwi subscription. Since then i have called and my husband and I both have emailed them but they do not respond!! I was very patient with them , and its been four months . I am giving this place 1 star because they did not have the decency to get back to us ! I am really disappointed with the administration of this place and I want my money back!!

      Great Kids' Birthday Party!
We had a party for our newly 6 year old daughter and 15 friends. The facility is roomy and nice. The kids had a blast. The young women who worked with them were friendly and great at managing the large group. It was kind of nice that parents had an area to themselves while the kids did their experiments in the lab (if if realized that I would have had some coffee and snack for the parents). The kids remained easily visible through the windows. Our party made bouncy balls and slime and got to take them home. In the party room the glow board was a huge hit as was mixing their own drinks. Best of all - Virtually no clean up!

Yeah!!!! What a gem for families who want kids to love science from an early age. My daughter is doing 3 half-day camps during her winter break. She is in kindergarten and I just love that she came home excited to tell me about the experiments they did (making a volcano and ice cream when learning about fire and ice)

We had our seven year old daughter's birthday party here and it was fantastic! She only wanted to invite girls and we wanted something different than the typical bounce house or Chuck E Cheese party and this was perfect. The girls loved all of the glow experiments and Miss Lisa was wonderful with keeping them entertained! We will certainly be coming back for more fun!

Disappointed is not even the right word to described how I felt dealing with the Curiosity zone of Ashburn. To make story short: I had contracted the curiosity zone asking them if I can sign up my daughter for the aftercare program. I was told yes, no problem. A few days later I stopped by to talk to them in person. Talked to two people, the after school teacher and the center manager. Both were very friendly and helpful, confirmed that I can start the program on Monday the following week. They send me an application to fill out. While I was filling it out I had some questions about it, it did not seem updated and complete: they were missing kindergarten class on it as a choice (had only 1st, 2nd, etc grades), they were missing weekly payment option that I was told about, they had a disclosure to sign that the center is not a child care center and students are free to leave the center. I called them back to go over these details. We hashed out the details and I was told that they would call me back once they pass the enrollment information to the center's director. They called me back at the end of that day and told me that the director said they cannot enroll my daughter because she was the only child to pick up at the Belmont Station Elementary. This was Thursday evening, we were going on vacation the following day. I had withdrawn my daughter from her current after care school by then because of numerous "no problem" confirmations from the center. Belmont Station Elementary is listed as a pick up location on their website. Two people rule was not known to me, to the center manager or to the center's teacher apparently. I was so shocked, I was out of options because of the timing and us going on vacation out of town the following day. I asked the person that called me back to ask Director to call me so we can talk about it. The "mysterious make my own rules" director never called back. At first I was going to fight it and try to get by daughter in just because I did not have any other options at the time. However, later I thought to myself who would want to put their child in a place where there is no customer service, with people who are oblivion to family and child needs? Not me... I had a few hours on Friday morning to come up with another choice for my daughter's after school care. I am a working mom, I need after school care for my daughter. This was very stressful for me. Curiosity zone of Ashburn is not a good place for your child!
