Carolina Panthers' undrafted free agent class ranked highly by experts
The Carolina Panthers added seven players in the 2024 NFL Draft last week, but they didn't stop there when it came to acquiring new talent. Carolina has also signed 17 players who went undrafted. Here's a look at the five players Carolina brought in who rank in the top 300 of Hasan's Consensus Big Board, which can be found at wideleft.football. The Panthers traded up into the first round to take receiver Xavier Legette at No. 32 overall, but Carolina also added some receiving talent after the draft.

Expert Commentary
This is a fine pick for the Panthers. They probably didn’t need to trade up, but moving up one spot to secure your guy isn’t the worst move in the world. They also needed to add a bigger player to their wide receiver room. This is solid pickup for the Panthers who really needed juice on offense.

Expert Commentary
The process here for the Panthers is a bit strange. Brooks is a quality running back prospect, but trading up for a player who will still be getting up to full strength as a rookie is a bit odd. Of course, if Brooks is back to pre-injury form, then this is moot. It just seems awfully risky from a pick allocation sense.
