Piet Bakkes and myself (Paul van Wyk) decided to open a new panel beating business in Cape Town. We initially purchased a franchise, but soon realised that we were better educated and experienced to run our own business. We developed a new name and image for our business called acciDent Guru in Paarden Eiland. We decided to contract Rudi Schlieben from Equadoor Web Design & Marketing Services to assist us with the development of the website and electronic marketing campaign.

From the outset, we were very impressed and satisfied with the service received from Rudi and his team. Apart from the fact that we were struggling to find time (while getting the business up and running) to share the relevant information with Rudi, we were surprised when he managed to set up an excellent looking website that has received very favourable comments from our clients.

Rudi also managed to market our business on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter and search engines like Google. Although we hardly had any time to give Rudi the relevant input into the demo website, he still managed to adapt it to our needs and preference by researching other similar international websites.

We recently found more time to spend on the website and we were also pleasantly surprised by the “user-friendliness” of the management of the website. Apart from the fact that we are perhaps “technologically challenged” when it comes to e-business and IT matters, we found the website very easy to work with and to do updates, from loading new photo’s to adding additional text and pages.

SEO highway to business!

About a month ago, I did myself a favour and googled our website.

We were nowhere to be found, rendering our website and all the time and effort that went into it useless.

I looked into what can be done to improve our visibility and footprint on the internet. If no one can see your business on the web when they google your product or service, no one will visit your site, thus the “front door” to your business is closed.

We contacted Rudi and specifically enquired about “site engine optimisation”. A term I knew nothing of, but soon realised that in order to open the doors to your business you need to be seen.

Rudi weaved his magic, with the result that if you google us now, we appear on the first page when looking for Kennels and Catteries in Pretoria.

This has had a staggering result, business is booming as a result of internet enquiries.

And as proud Kennel and Cattery owners we can now state that ”we can now run with the big dogs (and cats) in our area”
