Hey,
yesterday I got a new Biostar motherboard (TA790GX A3+) and I found some modified Bios for it. I flashed it and after flashing it was possible to reactivate 2 cores on my A2 550. I also tried with my old CPU X3 720 Black Edition and it was also no problem to reactivate it.
They guy how modified it made a new version for almost every 790 motherboard of Biostar.
Here you can download the BIOS version:

You need the following settings to unlock the cores:
HT link @ 1.6GHz
ACC @ all cores
Value(all cores) @ -2%
The forum where i find it was: w*w.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?p=3905610#post3905610
Please tell me your experience with unlocking the cores.
PS: If you try this always update your BIOS in Windows. The F12 function while booting won't work.
If you want I can upload some screenshots.
