About the Hudson Childrens’ Book Festival
The Hudson Children’s Book Festival, established in 2009, is held each year in the historic city of Hudson, NY, and strives to create, sustain, and nurture a culture of literacy in partnership with our community and schools. This free, public event fosters a love of reading as families meet and greet world-class creators of books for children of all ages.

We're so happy to have Debbie Dadey joining us on Saturday!
Writing can be super fun when it’s about dragons and mermaids! Debbie Dadey’s newest books are The Dolphin Dream (mermaids and dolphins-super fun!) and Dragons Don’t Cook Pizza (two of her favorite things!) She hopes you’ll stop by her table at the book festival to tell her which is better: mermaids or dragons!

I'm so excited!! Looking forward to sitting with graphic novelist Angeli Rafer Art! The people of Hudson Valley NY are so welcoming!
New this year in our author room is an area we’re calling “Creation Station” where paper and various drawing utensils will be for kids to use their imagination! Maybe a participating illustrator will join in the fun too!
Thanks to Paul Abitabile for coming up with the idea! ... See MoreSee Less

We are so excited to see Rajani LaRocca (@rajanilarocca) this weekend!
Rajani LaRocca was born in India, raised in Kentucky, and now lives in the Boston area, where she practices medicine and writes award-winning books for young readers, including the Newbery Honor winning middle grade novel in verse, Red, White, and Whole. She’s always been an omnivorous reader, and now she is an omnivorous writer of fiction and nonfiction, novels and picture books, prose and poetry. She finds inspiration in her family, her childhood, the natural world, math, science, and just about everywhere she looks.
See you Saturday!
