Arrived at this establishment and it did not live up to the it's expectations. I did not even go in. I could see right into the spa as people were being massaged. No privacy whatsoever. Did not appear clean; this was just not the type of spa experience I am use to.

Hi! We have private rooms for massages and all other treatments such as facials, waxing, and electrolysis. Wondering if perhaps you entered a different location and confused it for our spa! We know it is difficult to find us the first time, so perhaps this review is not meant for us. We are also diligent about cleaning and constantly clean throughout the day as well. It is too bad you didn’t get to experience a massage with one of our therapists. You would surely be writing a nicer review if you had :)

Purchased the package pictured in February for a trip to NYC in May. Paid for 4 hours of service. I was notified the day before the nail tech was injured and no one else was available but they would 'make it up to us'. Ok, disappointing, but accidents happen, etc.
Arrived at the spa. Had to wait while a previous customer complained about their services and charges (Red Flag!). When it was my turn I was told "Oh, we can't do the sugar scrub, we don't have a shower here".....And the massage therapist was late "He always shows up". I was promised a 90 minute massage but didn't get it since he was late and other clients were waiting. The massage was strange - fast and not a lot of pressure. I get massages at home regularly - this was unusual. And, I was dressed and out of the room in exactly 1 hour.
I got a facial with 5 mins of microderm abrasion and an excessive use of Kleenex on my face - I was peeling kleenex residue off as we left the building.
After those 2 services = 2 hours, the staff argued that the charges still equaled $315 (with tax). The prices on their wall did not add up. "Those just haven't been updated". They called the owner (doesn't live in NYC - I believe they said she was out of state). The owner confirmed and insisted on the same pricing. Can only pay cash or venmo. When I paid cash they couldn't make change until I told them there was NO WAY I was giving a 35% tip. Then they suddenly found some cash.
FYI, the same package with the brown sugar scrub is STILL on their website today.

Nice, clean spa with friendly staff. Unfortunately, my gel manicure started chipping the next day. Within the first week the polish chipped on three of my nails. Usually when I get a gel mani it lasts 2-3 weeks. Was disappointed that this chipped so quickly.

I have been going to Elite for a bikini wax for almost 10 years and there is nowhere else I'd rather go. As a matter of fact, if for some reason I can't make it and have no choice but to go somewhere else, I feel like I'm cheating! (But don't we all feel that way with our favorite hairstylist or esthetician? Amirite??)

I have been receiving massages and spa services for over 20 years. I am going to go out on a limb and say this is the worst massage I have ever had or will ever have in the future. Why was the place so bad?
1) The booking experience was very positive, and it actually caught me off guard that the service was so poor. The owner was extremely communicative and polite during the booking process.
2) When we arrived for the appointment, we announced that we had 90-minute massage appointments. The woman working at the desk was not one of the employees booked to do the massage, so, in an angry tone, she says, "No, you don't have an appointment for 90-minutes; I am about to go home!" Where is talking to a customer like that, okay? So the other employee chimes in and said, "It's okay; she's not expected to stay someone else is coming." She looks very annoyed.
3) The second massage therapist arrives 20 minutes later, and the first massage therapist sends me into a room to get a massage. The two of them start talking loudly behind the curtain. The second massage therapist says, "Are you going to give her a massage? Why did you send her into your room? I would rather give her a massage than the other one. You give the other one a massage. The first massage therapist agrees to switch and massage my friend. Everything about this encounter was disrespectful. She didn't want to give my friend a massage, and she made that super obvious. I believe we should have walked out then and canceled the whole thing. So, they have me to put my shoes and clothes back on to switch rooms. If they were half as smart as they thought they were, the massage therapist would have switched rooms and kept the argument to themselves, and we wouldn't have known anything.
4) I get this message, which was completely horrible. For the first 11-15 minutes of the massage, she gently took her hand and rubbed it back and forth on my calf and back. I had no idea that was supposed to be the massage. She's constantly drinking water and coughing loudly because she's sick. She doesn't massage my shoulders while I am laying on my stomach. She tells me to sit up on the table. While sitting up, she rubs my shoulders, and it was the most awkward thing. I have never had someone tell me to sit up for a shoulder massage. When it's time for me to roll over, I ask if she has a neck pillow, and she says, "No, sorry, no neck pillow." She awkwardly places my arm across my body in an uncomfortable stretch that made it feel like a muscle in my lower back was being pulled. She applied little to no pressure on my muscles, but when she massaged the more sensitive parts of my body, like my inner thigh, she pressed her knuckles into it, which hurt badly. I thought there was no way she would do this twice. She did the same exact thing to my left side that I complained hurt on my right side. Why would anyone put so much pressure between bones and on softer tissue with less muscle but gently rub the muscle portion of the body?
I tipped, we left without complaining and I was grateful that the massage was over. The next day bruises started forming on my inner and outer thigh areas. I have never had a massage this terrible in my life. Anything that she could have possibly done wrong she did. I would never try this place again.
From the weak massage to the overly aggressive knuckling of my legs and bones on top of my feet, this place is a hard and firm NO for me!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Business owner information

We feel awful that the session was not representative of a true experience at Elite Day Spa. Since we did not have staff available for the last minute appointments, we referred out to a massage therapist that rents a room from us. She does fine work, but her colleague that she hired caused a lot of upset and we are extremely saddened and sorry about it. The masseuse has never returned due to this result. We have never before and will never again refer out a client to someone we do not know. We have offered a complimentary massage with one of our staff members to make up for this experience through email.

Excellent costumer service.

Unfortunately I would not recommend this place to anyone.
pedicure station is 2 big bowls, not a real pedicure station at all.
there were no customers here when I got here and I was waiting on friends yet they woman behind the counter kept directing me to pick a color. I told her I was waiting and she just then told the other employees to tell me to pick a color.
they ran my credit card 4 times and had to call someone who wasn't at the salon to give them the total price - although they're written in the wall
theres only 1 drying station
you cannot book more than one appointment on the website
