I ordered dinner from Flavor of India thru DoorDash the other night. It was delivered quickly and the food was delicious!

The Garlic Naan (comes in 2 big slices) was aromatic and flavorful; it paired well with the Chicken Tikka Masala, but also tasted good by itself. The Samosa was crispy on the outside, and soft & warm on the inside; it paired well with the Chutney. Also, the mint chutney was my fave! As for the main dish, the Chicken Tikka Masala (comes with Basmati Rice) had lots of chicken, and was savory and thick with a bit of heat. The Basmati Rice was basic, but a good vehicle for the Chicken Tikka Masala. Actually, I wish there was more Chicken Tikka Masala because it costed nearly $18 on DoorDash; although it comes with rice, its container was the same size as the one for the rice. Maybe it's a different case when you dine at the restaurant? Barring the portion size issue, my family and I enjoyed the food.

Since I ordered delivery, I can't say much about the customer service or vibes of the restaurant, but I'm sure I'll visit someday!

Clockwise: Chutney, Samosa, Garlic Naan, Chicken Tikka Masala, Basmati Rice

This place was pretty darn good! Got the chicken tikki marsala always a favorite. The Taj mahal beer smooth, great, and very refreshing.
The service was good, there were two or three people that attended to us. The recommendations were good. And the atmosphere was very authentic.
I love Burbank for the free parking in the parking structure just behind the restaurant. The restaurant is kind of hidden away in an alley and I've walked by it many times but I'm glad I stopped after seeing great reviews on Google!

First time trying this place I ordered take out for me and my family. We love Indian food but our go to place was closed and we've always walked by Flavor of India but never ordered. The man on the phone was so nice so patient when I asked questions and he was very helpful. I ordered chicken Tikka, yellow dal, Aloo Gobi, naan, paratha, samosas, and the trio of chutneys. The food was so delicious and fresh if you don't like spicy try the non spicy items they have. But everything we tried was cooked to perfection. The samosas were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Yellow dal and aloo gobi was spicy and delicious with basmati rice. The tikka wasn't spicy so it was a nice balance between the other foods. The chutney came with fried tortilla chips so good a mix of spicy and sweet all 3 were delicious. I recommend everyone order from here.

I wish I could give this place a thousand stars. I came here a few months ago for the first time and our waiter gave us great recommendations for traditional dishes. Everything was delicious and I couldn't wait to come back. I literally used to DREAM about eating the pistachio ice cream because it blew my mind when I tried it. Today, I came in for the second time and my waiter recognized me from months ago! His name is Kash and he is such an amazing server. He will give you the best service no matter if it's a full house or if you're the only one in there. I highly recommend the Hot Chai with Honey, Garlic Naan, Green Curry (it was the curry of the day on Saturday 4/20), and of course THE PISTACHIO ICE CREAM! Thank you for everything

I have seen the poster for Flavor of India in the AMC parking structure dozens of times and finally went in to try it.

The food was so delicious, my favorites were the veggie pakora and the samosas. Both had so much flavor and textures, I would definitely reorder these. The paneer vindaloo was a little sweet but there were lots of potatoes which was really nice! My boyfriend liked the mirchi tikka but he wants to order something else next time. I didn't love the cheese naan but the garlic naan was really good!

The service and overall ambiance was okay. We came at an awkward time of the day I think so it was pretty empty but the servers brought out our food timely. The only thing that I'm dinging them on is when we started our meal, I think someone's phone was hooked up to the speakers throughout the restaurant and we are pretty sure it was an anti-transgender podcast? It was a little uncomfortable listening to something I felt we weren't supposed to be listening to, and overall we disagreed with a lot of what the podcast was saying. However, towards the end of our meal they changed it to regular music.

Great atmosphere and service. Visited this establishment numerous time and always wanted to try their Biryani but stuck to the normal. We had Samosas for appetizer, Lamb curry, chicken Tikka marsala , and garlic Naan for the main course.

On a horrible, terrible, no good, very bad hot day in Southern California this weekend, we trekked down to Burbank to try this location of the three-venue Flavor of India chain. It was a good experience, all in all.

I had seen the West Hollywood FoI repeatedly on my way to visit friends but would never take a chance on the parking off Sunset, so I was delighted to find out that they had one in Burbank, an easy hop down the 5 freeway.

Burbank itself is looking better than it was a few years ago. It has revived, with an explosion of ethnic restaurants, small and good, just like Flavor.

The restaurant is easy to get to and the parking, right up Orange Grove, was free in a spacious lot. That's because we always come mid-afternoon and beat all the crowds. Just the two block walk nearly did me in, as the temperature was north of 100F.

The place is pretty and spacious. There were people coming and going the whole time we were there, even in this formidable heat and humidity. It is clean and colorful, reflecting the Indian culture's love affair with all shades of saffron.

The menu is huge and covers all areas of India, but our helpful server, Kash, said it specializes mainly in Northern Indian fare. Good! Lots of vegetarian choices. With Kash's recommendations in mind, we got two vegetarian specials, plus an added order of my all time Southern Indian favorite, Masala Dosa. It came with a sizeable chopped greens and carrot salad, garlic naan, and samosas. We had carrot pudding for dessert, and the restaurant comped us perfect golden gulab jamon, one of my top desserts anywhere.

The portions were large without being overwhelming, everything was perfectly seasoned. Kash was efficient and helpful, and the tab was reasonable considering the quality and portions.

Why not a 5? Well, it could have something to do with the weather, and the restaurant could have been a bit cooler -- I'll admit -- but it was also the vibe: subdued and almost non-existent. For an Indian restaurant, it is important to feel enveloped, almost hugged, by the culture. Now, to be fair, they had a big screen showing Bollywood entertainment (nice touch!), and only genuine Indian music played the whole time (I think I heard Lata for quite a few songs -- is she still alive?)(Oh no! She just passed last February). All the right art work was there, with lots of gold and glitter. But! The place needs re-painting, there are utilitarian stations that should be better disguised from diners, and no one other than Kash seemed interested in the clientele at all. It all needs to be kicked up a notch and then it would be a fabulous place to get authentic, complex, flavorful Indian meals. Hope they hear me, as I am an easy get usually.

      We ordered a few things:
      Shahi paneer
      Malai kofta
      Mixed veggie (no curry)
      Veg biryani
      Saag paneer
      Naans

The first three items literally tasted exactly the same! So weird..

Service was alright. Not good not bad.

The place was nice and big, well decorated.
