Welcome to Oahu, Hawaii

OAHU SHOPPING

Oahu is a virtual shoppers’ paradise for both the casual shopper, as well as the sophisticated consumer. From world-class brand names like Chanel, Bernini, Burberry, DKNY, Gap, Guess, Polo, Ralph Lauren, Christian Dior, Dooney and Burke, Coach, Fendi, Hermes, Hunting World, Salvatore Ferragamo, Valentino, Gianni Versace, Disney, Bulgari, Cartier, Prada, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany, Nike, and Rolex, to handmade gifts and Hawaiian arts and crafts, from modern cosmopolitan malls to quaint boutiques and craft stalls, Oahu satisfies all shoppers.

Waikiki may be called the capital of Oahu’s shopping. The Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center on Kalakaua Street in Waikiki offers more than 150 shops and restaurants. A variety of merchandise is offered here by the retailers - from small kiosks peddling Hawaiian mementos to world-famous boutiques like Cartier, Hermes and Fendi. Across the street is the International Market Place, an open air shopping bazaar, where more than 130 kiosks, stands, and shops surround a century old banyan tree. Another favorite place to shop in Waikiki is King’s Village, which includes over 45 shops and eateries.

Located in the heart of Honolulu is Oahu’s largest shopping complex, the Ala Moana Shopping Center. The center boasts more then 200 shops. There are some major department stores like Sears and Macy’s, and various designer boutiques such as Christian Dior, Prada, Diesel and Abercrombie & Fitch.

A short walk from Ala Moana is the Victoria Ward Centers, a shopping complex offering more than 140 shops and restaurants, and a 16-screen, state-of-the-art megaplex.

The Aloha Tower Marketplace is located on Honolulu Harbor. This shopping mall has a huge food court and many indoor and outdoor restaurants offering fabulous views of the Harbor. Crafts, Hawaiian artwork, gift items and souvenirs are among the many types of merchandise to be found in the numerous specialty stores and kiosks here. The Aloha Stadium Swap Meet, also called the Aloha Flea Market, is located at the Aloha Stadium near Pearl Harbor, where hundreds of stalls display various odds and ends, and treasures of every description. Haggling is acceptable at this free-for-all marketplace.

Other fabulous shopping places in Oahu are the Kahala Mall in the exclusive Kahala district East of Oahu, where more than 90 exclusive shops offer you a unique shopping experience; Windward Mall in Kaneohe on the Windward side of Oahu, set against picture postcard background of Koolaupoko Mountain Range; Pearlridge Center, a vast and beautiful shopping mall in Pearl City near Pearl Harbor; and the must-visit Waikele Premium Outlets, a favorite stop for bargain-hunters with more than 25 stores and restaurants.

Besides these modern shopping centers, there are many low key malls and quaint country stores as well. These places offer a variety of items to take home as souvenirs, like exquisite Hawaiian quilts, furniture and bowls made of rich koa wood, extraordinarily unique Ni'ihau shell leis, aloha shirts, classic short or long mu'umu'u in the bright floral patterns of the islands, besides many other artifacts.

You can find everything imaginable in Oahu, a true shoppers’ paradise!
