Saving Natural Lands Now and Forever

Donate to SFC’s Waltz Turner Campaign and Help Make SFC History!

Your donation goes towards supporting SFC’s largest land project ever! Located in the heart of SFC’s Merced River and Vernal Pool Grasslands Conservation Corridor, the Waltz Turner Ranch CE is SFC’s largest land acquisition to date at over 10,000 acres. In 2019, SFC kicked off this suite of corridor projects with the landmark conservation of the almost 7,000-acre Hornitos Ranch CE. The Waltz Turner Ranch is the next step in protecting the remaining acreage needed to establish connectivity between the eastern Merced vernal pool grasslands and the Wild and Scenic Merced River/Lake McClure Public Recreation Area. This effort will establish SFC’s largest conservation corridor – a stunning 50,000-acres of continuous, conserved lands.

Our Mission

The grasslands, foothills, and forests between Yosemite and Kings Canyon National Parks provide land for farms and ranches, a home for native plants and wildlife, and a source of clean water.

Sierra Foothill Conservancy honors our natural and cultural heritage by protecting these resources and ensuring that present and future generations will continue to experience and enjoy the land in this region.
