As it was my wife birthday on 5th Jan suddenly I planned a trip to Yercaud on 4th evening & dialed GRT for booking the first Person I contacted was Mr. Ganesh ram the Director of rooms very professionally spoken & offered good deal .
We visited Grt on 5th Jan 21 around 1 pm they sanitize the entire car before we step out and sanitized the baggage as well & warm welcome from the staff.
As promised by Mr.Ganeshram he showed as couple of rooms to choose the best view and he offered free baby food and milk (1 year baby) during our stay. This small things make a huge difference comparing to other hotels. He Dazzle & delighted us with this service .
Rooms Great rooms with beautiful view from balcony, amenities was available as per the five star standards , clean & neat restrooms, soft bed with neat linen but monkeys are around the balcony need to be careful.
F&B The sky Rocca name of the restaurant located on top of the hotel with wonderful view, full fog and some space in front of the restaurant to play around with kids.Food was excellent during dinner and breakfast & the baby food dal khichdi was so delicious. Kavitha & Madesh were always available with smile and wonderful service.
Entertainment Abhilash from sports area conducted camp fire and fun games with music in the evening around 7.30pm was great. There is indoor games & outdoor games as well.
Security There was a girl security and murganesn at the entrance (sorry forgot the names) was always available they were eager to serve us always providing bottle water on arrival and departure & any kind of assistance. Thanks to sakthivel the security manager for offering some baby food or milk during check out. This is the service we excepts during the stay.
Great service with standards would compare equal to Oberoi & Taj hotels.
I m sure will visit again and again & would strongly recommend this hotel to our family & Friends.
Overall had a wonderful stay ,Special thanks to Ganesh Ram.

We had a great experience at GRT. The hotel is located almost at the peak of Yercaud and at the edge. All their rooms have great views. We stayed at their Valley view room and it had a vast balcony with a stunning view of the sky and the valley. The food was great too. We literally couldn’t find any flaw with any of the dish we ordered, we were actually pleasantly surprised as we were not expecting such great service and food at a remote location like this Every staff and member were extremely polite. The cherry on top of the cake was their hygiene maintenance, they not just sanitized our bags and rooms but also sanitized our complete car! A 5 star experience and a must visit hotel. It is just 3.5 hrs from Bangalore.

We had booked the Valley view room for 3 nights @Rs6156/night during Dec'20 for our first vacation post Covid. All our concerns regarding the Covid safety was put to rest with the measures taken by the resort. They ensure your car, luggage is sanitized as you enter the resort. Temp checks and sanitization is mandatory for all travelers; one should wear masks outside of the rooms. Kudos to that!
The check in was a breeze no hassles. The valley view room that was allotted to us had a great view of the valley which was a huge plus. However the bathroom was dingy, dark and suffocating. So the next day we spoke to the receptionist and he gladly upgraded us to the pool view room which had better upkeep on the room and bathroom. We did not miss the valley view that much as the restaurant area has a huge valley view and one can relax there as well. Valley view rooms are generally dated, moldy and appears brownish (esp bathrooms). Pool view room was decent and had updated details. I only wish they had firm mattress instead of the sink in ones though; but i made my peace with it (not recommended for people with back issues)
Beware of monkeys on your balcony, there were the sweetest we even offered them fruits. But do not keep the windows/doors unlocked as they can get into the room. Since we are in their territory, this is something we must accommodate and cohabit.
Breakfast buffet was delicious, everything was fresh and tasty. Their Ghee Roast Dose, Pongal, Vade, Idli was just yum and service was good. Lunch/Dinner we tried only once - as vegetarian options was limited and we did not want to repeat our food. One can try resort hopping for better options. Again the vegetarian food was quite expensive considering Yercaud is a very small town. The prices matched Bengaluru restaurant's prices pretty much.
Housekeeping is done once in 2 days considering the pandemic which was ok for us as we anyways had a change of room. The overall resort property was clean and weather was quite chill. The air smelt fresh and clean in general.
Yercaud as a town gets quiet post 7pm'ish' and there were any activities in the resort as such and we just ended up in the room. Perhaps it would be good to have some activities near the restaurant to keep the atmosphere lively.
Every staff member was quite hard working and eager to please the customers. Overall we like this resort except that the property itself needs a bit of an upgrade; it seems quite dated.

The stay was really good however there are many concerns end to end.
1. Room was pretty much basic for the premium price you pay. 2. Shower kits and Dental kits we're missing by default. Upon check out we were told that the kits would be provided on request. Which is bizarre considering the premium price you pay for the stay. 3. Breakfast has a good spread however they open the restaurant to the whole public in the town and it was crowded most of the time when we went for a meal. In fact for one of the meals we had to wait 10 mins to get a table. And other times we had ro sit in separate tables since all the large tables were already occupied. 4. The room service cleaning was denied stating CoVID as a reason, however the management is okay to let the restaurant to 100s of outside public. This I felt is hypocrisy at its peak. 5. Events that were happening in the resort were not intimated to the guests too. Least we expected was a phone call. Another letdown.
Overall you can visit this for its seene views and the skywalk.
But hey you can enjoy that by just having a meal at their restaurant.
So I'd suggest stay somewhere outside much cheaper and value for money than this and come here for just a meal and enjoy the views, click pictures and then leave.

I visited the Great Trails Yercaud by GRT Hotels with my family in the first week of March when the weather was still pleasant with clear skies and cool breeze. But what set this apart from most previous experiences are its location (perched up the slope overlooking the deep valley and villages surrounding Salem), heavenly tasting food with a vast and passionately curated menu, topped by unmatched hospitality and service. This apart, the spacious and decently appointed rooms with private balcony offered mesmerizing view all through the day or night. Be it to engage in outdoor adventure sporting activities or indoors games, taking a plunge in the infinity pool or indulging in a soothing Spa treatment, reading in solace or just soaking in the natures beauty, or, even watching that favorite movie with the family in the comfort of our room, we did all of that and thanks to the ever helpful & courteous staff. Spending the evenings on the sky deck just gazing silently at the golden sky fading into colorful hues as the sun set into the oblivion was one of our unforgettable moments. And most importantly, the hotel took all possible precautionary & preventive measures against Covid, to assure our safety & hygiene through our stay. They unquestionably deserve a perfect 5 star 🌟 and thanks to the staff for making our getaway such a memorable and rejuvenating one. We soo look forward to our next visit to the property !!

We were greeted with impeccable hospitality by the entire staff, which continued until the second we left the hotel. Our room had a beautiful view of the valley, and the hotel is constructed such that every room is perched over the valley. Having visited the hotel during COVID, the precautions taken by the staff made us feel very safe. All luggage was sanitized, there were temperature checks and sanitizing stations. The food was great, and the service was very prompt. It was a great experience and would surely recommend it to anyone visiting Yercaud! Comparitively a bit pricey but definitely worth it for this premium experience. Special shoutout to Ganeshram for proactively ensuring we had a great stay!

I would say the experience with GRT great trails yercaud was amazing. Say from customer service to quality of stay everything was awesome. People were cordial and humble. The rooms were spik n span and the staffs were available all time for any assistance. The valley View room which we opted was one of the best and splendid. The complimentary breakfast had the through phase of Indian as well continental menu which was enjoyed by all us. Overall a perfect place for stay.

We just returned from a refreshing 3 day staycation at the Great Trails by GRT Yercaud with family. It was a pleasant stay with beautiful weather. The property is located at a good point. At the time of this Corona pandemic, they are taking good care of sanitization starting from the entry point to the exit. Chef Gopal served us with the best North Indian food, his speciality being the kebabs. Ms. Kavita took care of all our needs at the restaurant. Evenings were fun because of the games and events hosted by Mr. Abhilash . Also the children were engaged in some creative activity (Christmas tree decoration, karaoke, play dough) everyday and were rewarded too. My kid used to be super excited for those activity sessions and dance nights. Only con with the property is their rooms (and their bathrooms). We stayed in the Penthouse category of rooms. We feel they should be renovated as they were not worth the money charged. All in all, the experience was good. The Manager Mr. Shaktivel also made sure that we were having a good time.

I went here for a relaxed holiday. My travel dates was July 24 to July 26. The pros and cons are given below. Before that a few common tip is that it is better to book the resort directly through them instead of other travel websites as any changes to your itinerary is easily accomodated and you also get some discounts on F&B.
Pros: 1: Excellent and very courteous staff. Right from the person through whom we booked till the room service guys, everyone greets you with a smile and fulfills all your requirement. I would like to specially mention Mr. Mani for helping me in booking and also supporting in changing my travel dates. Also, Mr. Shaktivel who was very friendly and supportive in all our needs and requirements at the resort. One of the few resorts where I have seen such service 2: Rooms are very clean and neat. 3: Location is excellent and view is also awesome from almost every room 4: There are couple of activities in the resort, so you can be engaged in them and not actually leave the resort, there by having a relaxed holiday 5: The spa is excellent and a must when you visit here. Its better to book in advance
Cons: 1: The private balcony for the rooms does not have any sort of shelter. Its is dedicated to you where only you will have entry to it, but the people on the floor above you can see whats happening in your balcony. Also, without the sheet/shelter on top, if it rains, you are stuck inside your room. With the shelter, atleast you can enjoy the rain by sitting outside and also have a much wonderful experience 2: The restaurant is overly priced and we also had some issues with the food. The chef and concerned people were kind enough to hear us out, but if you are actually going out of the resort, it would be a good idea to try other restaurants.
This is my third visit to yercaud and this was one of the best resorts

Our Stay at GRT nature trails Yercaud turned out to be a very pleasant one mainly because of the very courteous, helpful And caring staff and also great food .Travelled with kids - 6 and 1 year olds and found the place to be very kid friendly and accommodating to our needs which many hotels usually fail to do. The viewpoint (skywalk ) inside the resort is amazing to view the skyline. The pricing was quite expensive But no compromises were made in the quality of the stay or service . On the whole great experience- will surely recommend especially for those travelling with little kids .

All rooms have valley view from where you can see Salem city. Panaromic view rooms have an additional glass floor through which you can see the bottom. But the view is not that great and definitely not worth the premium charged.
Regarding activities, the hotel has pool, sports room (table tennis, carrom). They have zip line as well, archery and shooting. Also, they have bonfire in the evening with music and some fun games.
There are more places to choose from in the Yercaud area.
