Do Zangief's new buffs make him a top tier in Street Fighter 6?

There's no question that Zangief is one of the biggest winners of the latest Street Fighter 6 update as the Russian wrestler received a myriad of buffs that help him dole out damage like no one's business.

In Season 1, Gief was regarded as one of the game's weaker contenders, often placed in the bottom 10 areas of tier lists thanks to his often lopsided match ups against stronger characters. MC Mura puts the buffed up character under the microscope in a recent video to try to answer just how good he's become.

Seemingly out of nowhere and alongside a dog picture of all things, Street Fighter 6 Director Takayuki Nakayama provided us a sneak peek of M. Bison on the Street Fighter 6 character select screen. We get a look at M. Bison as he appeared in his default attire as well as his classic dictator appearance.

15 straight minutes of all the reasons Street Fighter 3 Third Strike is broken by today's standards

We've got expectations for fighting games fairly dialed in here in 2024. It's not to say developers have perfected the art of optimizing both balance and fun, but we are most definitely standing on some basic lessons (be careful with dive kicks, infinites are bad, jabs shouldn't be anti-airs, etc.).

Said lessons had to be learned along the way, however, and GuileWinQuote's latest video is an entertaining watch back through some of the more surprising aspects of Street Fighter 3 Third Strike that threatened to easily tip the balance scales.
