Second-generation Winery Owner and President Kim Stare Wallace shares the importance of knowing where your wine comes from in today's fast-paced wine industry. 👉 Pro tip: Look for the phrase "produced and bottled by" on the back label of your bottle to ensure that the brand you're purchasing is crafting its own wines. #themoreyouknow #consciousconsumer #sonomacounty #winesofcalifornia
What a perfect day to Rosé! Thank you to all who joined us to embrace life in pink at today’s La Vie en Rosé fête celebrating the release of our Petite Zin Rosé and the joy of spring. If you’ve visited Dry Creek Vineyard, you’ve likely met Tasting Room Manager Ian Eddy, who next month will mark 12 years at our family winery. After meeting second-generation winery owners Kim and Don Wallace while working at Charlie Palmer’s Dry Creek Kitchen, Ian traded the restaurant industry for wine and never looked back. Learn what’s kept Ian at Dry Creek Vineyard for over a decade, what makes the winery such a special place to be and which DCV bottling would be his desert-island wine. Cheers to you, Ian! 🥂 #drycreekvineyard #sonomawine #drycreekvalley #visitsonoma #visithealdsburg #healdsburg
A major component of our Petite Zin Rosé is Zinfandel from Vogensen Ranch. Last September, we were lucky to capture an early morning harvest alongside multi-generational farmer and vineyard manager Matt Vogensen. Rising up to 800 feet off the valley floor, Vogensen Ranch is located on the back of Bradford Mountain and is one of the more extreme growing sites in all of Dry Creek Valley. The undulating nature of the terrain and east-facing sun exposure provide grapes that are beautifully ripened and lead to a wine that is silky, textured and well-balanced.
Raising a glass today to all the mothers and mother figures in our lives 🥂💖 Thank you for all that you do. Happy Mother's Day!
🌿🥾 Thank you to everyone who joined us for an unforgettable Earth Day trek through our Endeavour Vineyard. Here's to environmental stewardship the rest of the year 🍷 — cheers!

Happy International Sauvignon Blanc Day! This has been an important varietal for us since Day One. Inspired by the dry white wines of France’s Loire Valley, winery Founder David S. Stare was the first to plant Sauvignon Blanc in Dry Creek Valley — something he did against the advice of viticultural experts. Dave’s intuition has long since been proven correct. In fact, our newest release of Sauvignon Blanc from Dry Creek Valley — the 2023 vintage — earned 99 points and Double Gold in the recent California State Fair wine competition, making it the Best of California. Please join us in raising a glass to our talented winemaking team, as well as to Dave and his vision! #sauvignonblancday #internationalsauvignonblancday #sauvignonblanc #sauvblanc #sonomawine

In case you missed it, the newest vintage of our wildly popular Petite Zin Rosé was just released! With Mother's Day around the corner, you now have the option to switch it up and gift Mom a bouquet of Rosé. 🌹 This delicious, limited-production wine was crafted from our love of Zinfandel, with a touch of Petite Sirah. We allow the juice just enough time with the skins to gather some complexity and a healthy splash of color before fermenting it in stainless steel at cool temperatures. This luxurious Rosé features a round and inviting mouthfeel combined with lively acidity, alongside prominent, fruit-forward notes of watermelon, red berries, kiwi and honeydew melon. We have been practicing sustainability from the beginning. Simply because it matters to us what we consume. Don has dedicated his life making sure he leaves the land better than he found it. For more than 30 years, Don has been actively involved in sustainable agriculture in Sonoma County. First suggesting sustainable grape growing to the Wine Institute of California, Don’s early adoption of concepts such as cover crops, soil mapping, water emitters and creating a symbiotic, healthy environment for the vineyard, have made him a leader among sustainable grape growers in the wine industry. The Leadership Institute for Ecology and the Economy is a Sonoma County non-profit dedicated to ensuring a sustainable future for California’s North Coast. The Leadership in Sustainability Awards is the North Bay’s premier gathering of sustainability leaders and supporters. This inspiring event is critical for providing the encouragement and recognition to those who work tirelessly to create an economically, ecologically and equitably sustainable future for our community. Commenting on Don’s award, Tanya Narath, Executive Director of the Institute said, “We are very pleased to honor Leadership Institute Fellow Don Wallace for his pioneering role in sustainable agriculture. He has successfully integrated economic and environmental needs to create a strong business. Our economy and environment are healthier because of Don’s leadership.” Next time you’re at the winery ask about the Dry Creek Rehabilitation plan! #earthday #earthmonth #dcv #drycreekvalley #healdsburg #sonomacounty #sustainability #agriculture #farming #wine #soil #farming
