Players of the Month for February
Carson Schultz of the Leduc
Chrysler Oil Kings (Dodge Division) Carson took his game to
new heights in the month of February, as the Oil Kings made
a big push to try and secure a playoff spot. He left an
impression on all those who watched him, as he came through
with 5 goals, 9 assists for 14 points in the final six games
of the season. Carson is an extremely committed individual
on and off the ice, his game has drastically improved since
the beginning of the season. Coach Rechner says “Carson was
an absolute ‘stud’ for us down the stretch”.
Jace Benvie of the Calgary Flames (Chrysler Division)
Jace is first year player on the team this year after a
great year with the NWCCA Stamps last year. He propelled the
Flames, with 4 goals and 7 assists for 11 points, to finish
the month with a 5-0 record to keep them in second place in
the tight South Division. Jace has a very smart hockey
player with great skills and a strong work ethic. He is a
player that is very well liked amongst his peers and has
gained their respect quickly for his on ice play.
