Welcome to the Southern Museum of Flight
Welcome to the Southern Museum of Flight! Here, you will experience the rich and exciting history of aviation and aircraft. Our museum is one of the largest flight museums in the south and features over 75,000 square feet of learning possibilities, over 100 historic aircraft, including Korean War Jets, hands-on exhibits, flight simulators, and more! The museum is open weekly, Tuesday - Saturday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.

TOURS
The Southern Museum of Flight offers various exciting tours perfect for the history buff, aviation enthusiast, or anyone who enjoys learning new things! Enjoy the museum on your own through a self-guided tour, or join a group for a guided tour with one of our experienced tour guides. Tours are an excellent opportunity to experience aviation history in an up close and exciting way! We can also tailor your tour to specific interests such as Alabama Aviation History, Black History, the Tuskegee Airmen, Aviation Carriers, and World War I to the Cold War. SIMULATIONS
Visit our Soar High Center to experience our Flight Simulator Lab! Flight Simulators provide an exciting hands-on experience for students to learn about the skills and challenges of learning to fly. Our flight instructors, many of whom have experience in instructing military and civilian flight students, will guide students through the principles of flight, map reading, cockpit instrumentation, preflight briefings, and a simulated flight to a local airport!
FIELDTRIPS
Plan your school field trip to the Southern Museum of Flight! We offer various levels of guided tours to meet the educational needs of students in pre-K through 12th grade. Your students will experience an up-close and immersive lesson in flight history with guided tours throughout our museum to see and learn about aviation artifacts, significant men and women in flight history, aviation-inspired paintings and art, and much more. We also offer hands-on activities, including a scavenger hunt, designing 3-D airplanes, building paper airplanes, building weather instruments, and navigating through art.

3How Much Does it Cost to Visit the Southern Museum of Flight?
General admission to the museum is $10 for adults and $8 for kids, with free admission for children under the age of three. We also offer $5 admission for active military members and their families. You can also visit the museum anytime with a Family Membership starting at $100 for one year or $150 for two years.
4Does the Museum Offer Rental Facilities for Events?
