Welcome 2012!!!  …

Happy New Year!!!  We hope you and your family had a safe and fun filled holiday season!  Four Down had a great balance of holiday cheer and ‘rock-star’ fun this season, culminating with our New Year’s Eve show at Savannah’s Dublin Underground with Q103FM.  The night started early with Q103FM’s ‘New Years Eve Pajama Party’ with the audience sporting everything from the funny to the risqué .  By 11:30pm the club was filling up and hitting full party mode.

We decided to end the year with a bang, by unleashing one of our newest covers- Eminem’s ‘Lose Yourself’ as our last song of 2011.  It was a crowd chanting, fist pumping success- a very exciting end to the year…  To follow suit, we also kicked off the new year with a big new debut- Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’– Four Down’d into a high energy rock anthem.  The audience was boppin’ and singing along and you could see random people emulating their favorite MJ moves on the dance floor.  The mood was set, the party was on and it was a great first show of 2012!!! Check out some of the great pics of the night courtesy of Meredith on Facebook at www.facebook.com/fourdowntheband . We want to say a GIANT thank you to all of our friends and the entire staff of Savannah’s for a great night and another HUGE thank you to all of our fans, friends and venue staff for making Four Down’s first year a complete success !

As Four Down’s sophomore year kicks off, we’re excited for our first full show of 2012.  We’re hopping in the 4Down rig and heading up the Northway to Plattsburgh, NY for our 2nd show at Olive Ridley’s.  Plattsburgh is a town that knows how to party and our first show at Ridley’s (Oct 8, 2011) was a huge success.  Wanna see a little bit of what we’re talking about?  Check out this newly posted clip of us performing the Beastie Boy’s ‘No Sleep Till Brooklyn’ on YouTube that night.  The camera angle is a little too high to catch all of the people on the dance floor, but you’ve got to check out the guy in the front slamming 2 beers at once while Justin rips up his solo- CLASSIC!

Happy Holidays!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from 4 Down, and welcome to our brand spankin’ new home page!

While you’re all busy with your families (i.e. drinking lots of booze to make this “vacation” bearable), 4 Down is busy preparing for our 2nd full year of action in 2012!

Kicking off with the 2nd annual New Year’s Eve bash at Savannah’s, 4 Down is bringing a brand new show to the new year. We’re adding songs like crazy to our list of everyone’s favorites.

Wishing you all the best this holiday season and hope to see you all in the new year!

Road trips, bumbo-isms and summertime fun!

Our trip to Plattsburgh on Friday night went off without a hitch. The flood waters have finally receded and the Naked Turtle certainly lived up to its party-time reputation. A huge thanks to Jim, April and the rest of the crew at the Turtle for making this a killer night! Headed back your way in October to rock out at Olive Ridley’s, so get ready north country!

The I-GO-INN is certainly the place to be on Sacandaga Lake on a beautiful summer evening. Saturday night Four Down brought the house down with everything from Sublime & Marley to Van Halen and the Tragically Hip. The party people were out in force, and Gary certainly kept us entertained all night (“How many outfits does that guy own?! …and why is he wearing a boot on one foot and a sandal on the other?!”). Thanks as always to Henry, the host with the most; you never fail to disappoint! We’re preparing ourselves for the major party that’s going to take place on labor day weekend.. hope y’all can make it out to party with us!

Of course, no full 4 Down weekend would be complete without a few Bumbo-isms.. enjoy! Prizes for anyone who can decode these masterpieces:

“I’d like two skips in a douche”

“I had a sheepy slit last night”… “a sleepy shit” (I woke up to this double Bumbo Saturday morning..)

“Oot giggle” ..”giggle oot”

“He gave me a full hog buddy. ..a full buddy hog .. a full bod huggy” (TRIPLE BUMBO!!)

Rockin’ Saratoga Springs this weekend.. Wednesday @ The Metro, Saturday @ Bailey’s!

Summertime.. and the livin’s easy.
