ICANN closed the call for applications for the first cycle of the ICANN Grant Program, as planned on 24 May 2024. ICANN is absolutely delighted with the response to the program and is proud to report back that it received a total of 247 applications. On 5 April 2024, ICANN Contractual Compliance began enforcing new Domain Name System abuse obligations applicable to registries and registrars. Since then, in addition to the mitigation actions already being taken by registrars and registries, registrars have suspended 2,528 domain names and disabled 328 phishing websites as a result of Compliance's enforcement efforts.

The ICANN Board of Directors is in the process of developing the ICANN Strategic Plan for fiscal years 2026–2030, and input from the community is a key part of this important undertaking.
