FROM THE ARCHIVE 623 -2005-

Today we go back to 2005 with two articles from My Weekly and The Sun. It was a very busy year for Dame Shirley Bassey and she also appeared at the Royal Variety Performance that year. The featured image you see above is her rehearsing for The RVP in Cardiff. The article from The Sun is about her ‘duet’ with Kanye West: Diamonds Are Forever.

The BBC Electric Proms at the Roundhouse -Audio-

For this blog we have the audio of the 2009 BBC Electric Proms at the Roundhouse as broadcast on BBC Wales. It is the full concert, with a 20-minute introduction by BBC Wales and an interview with Dame Shirley. Unfortunately the concert that was broadcast on TV a day later had songs edited out. I hope you can all enjoy this concert again in its full glory with special thanks to Neil for making this possible!
