Since we hand select the tops for our Custom Shop instruments, we asked our friends at the USA factory if we could do the same thing for this run. This Fender Custom Shop Artist Series Johnny A. Strat is no exception—it’s cooler than the underside of a pillow on Pluto. It’s a combination of Johnny’s favorite features from his preferred model years (‘63-‘66) like an authentic ‘65 C neck along with some player-friendly customized appointments like a custom-wound bridge pickup with wider, more energetic response, Strat blender wiring, and medium jumbo frets.
