New Zealand Government Wants to Rein In Access to Raw Milk

New Zealand is a company town and that company is Fonterra. It makes them insane knowing that farmers are cutting them out of the equation by selling directly to consumers. Other parasitic middlemen (the diabolical Foodstuffs and Woolworths duopoly) are cut out of the deal when people buy goods directly from farmers.

In short, farmers and consumers win by dealing directly with each other. If you’re a parasitic middleman, these farmer-to-consumer activities need to be eliminated to the extent possible, and that’s where the government comes in…

Submissions must be in by 5 December. I didn’t mention this earlier because I figured that people would put it off and eventually forget about it.
