I loved House Wine. Very cute space, but I'm sure it can get loud if it's busy. I'm not sure if it was the deal of the day or just the regular happy hour deal, but it was half off glasses of open bottles which was kind of fun.
I would give it a five if the bartender wasn't wiping their nose while pouring our drinksHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - R G.Austin, TX810412Feb 25, 2024
We went on a Saturday evening and it was almost empty with no patrons inside. We took a spot in the back section. They ignored us until after I went and checked with the host.
We ordered mulled wine, moscato & the salmon platter.
They forgot to bring my wine (after waiting 45 min)and had to over to the host to cancel my order. The host brings me the wine anyways. When asked how the wine was heated she tells me in a microwave in a wine glass that's not microwave safe.

So I am not a wine guy. I'm not a "I wanna sit and sip with cheese"and that whole thing... But dang, this was pretty cool.
The music in the background was very nice, chill relaxed vibe...
The service was extraordinary.. Elisa was great.. took very good care of us but had to leave :( but then Gretchen came out ... She's the boss lady. Lol. Too awesome. We know nothing about wines other than Paul telling Timothy to drink wine for his stomach ailments. :)
Our cheese plate was very good. The chocolate, gouda, brioche... Bruh, it was delicious, and we had dinner before coming here!!!
Thank y'all for a great experience.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 49336366Sep 18, 2023
I stopped by with friends for a ladies night out (Thursday). This place has a cozy and fun ambiance. Once we were seated, service was subpar.
After ordering two bottles and two charcuterie boards, our server was nowhere to be found nor did she check-in to ask if we needed anything else.
When it came time to pay our bill, she had a hard time splitting the cost equally using her handheld kiosk. The first transactions were voided and the second transactions were slightly off but we sorted it out afterwards.
This place has so much potential - it's important for servers to be attentive. Anyhow, I may give it another try. Overall nice place with cute decor and laidback vibes.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 11, 2023
Cute little wine bar owned by local females in a small house looking building. They had indoor and outdoor seatings, but we sat outside since we had a dog with us. They had a large natural wine selections with food like charcuterie boards, pizza, tapas and desserts. We came here during happy hour and ordered a natural white wine. Overall, we had a good experience even though we were only there for an hour.

Whoever named this place House Wine meant it literally! Entering this wine bar feels like coming over to a friend's house. The decor is colorful yet homey, and there are plenty of seating options with cushions for extra comfort.
They serve a wide variety of food here, everything from charcuterie boards to pizza to empanadas. My friend and I came here for their daily happy hour (3-6 pm) for $2 off glasses/$6 off bottles, but we decided to each get a flight instead. I opted for the Aromatic White Flight ($20), which had three white wines from three different countries. The flight came in the cutest little glasses with labels underneath! None of the wines were overly sweet or overly dry, so it was a nice variety to sip on. Especially with the happy hour specials, I think this is a nice spot to get some wine and light bites with friends.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Emily M.Austin, TX2053315Apr 22, 2024
Love the patio space and great wine flights! Cool location. We got a charcuterie board that was decent but not sure about other food options here!

This is one of my favorite cozy wine spots for a girls' night or a date night! A never-ending collection of wine, knowledgeable sommeliers ready to recommend whatever you need + great service, and overall good vibes. Love the wines, love the cheeseboards, and will definitely be back. The wine flights are a new discovery for me that I have really enjoyed too!

Came in on a beautiful day to sit outside and enjoyed their lovely patio. The place is tucked away and very welcoming, chill and, homey. Our hostess was really nice and took the time to explain the wine and the mission of the bar. I'm not a big wine drinker but I thought the frosé was really good because it seemed to have strawberries blended into it. I got the charcuterie and bread tapas which I expected to have some cheese but was only meat (salami and prosciutto). It was $8 during happy hour which we felt was still a little steep for what it was.
My minor complaint is with billing. The frosé was supposedly $7 during happy hour but I was charged $8 which is nbd. However, there was also a small fee for using non-cash payment which I would've liked to know since I had cash. I don't think this was anywhere on the menu and could've been verbally mentioned.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
