Passive Fire Protection is a system that works to slow the spread of fire and smoke through a building with the use of fire and smoke barriers to compartmentalize and contain the fire to a specific area. A Passive Fire Protection System includes barriers (fire rated walls, ceilings, floors, fire dampers and fire doors) that must be maintained through regular maintenance and repair. Codes NFPA 80, NFPA 101®, and NFPA 105 are requirements in which Safe Check will insure your facility maintains compliance.
