Roll For Magglio – A Bocce Tournament to Benefit Magglio Boscarino

Dear Friends,
We are looking forward to seeing everyone for Rock and Roll for Magglio on Sunday July 12 from 12 – 5pm!

A few quick reminders about the day:

• If you haven’t already, please make your donation through this website – follow the “Donate” link.  Donations are set up through paypal and can be paid by credit card or check.  Making your donation before the event will help us be sure to have enough food for everyone and make the event run more smoothly. You can also mail a check to the address at the bottom of the post below this one.
• When you arrive, please park the Peninsula JCC at 800 Foster City Blvd and walk across the street.  Please don’t park at the Bocce Courts. 
• Please bring drums or other instruments to join our drum circle!

Please join us for our 2nd Annual event to benefit Magglio Boscarino- Rock and Roll For Magglio!!

This is an exciting fundraising event to help Magglio in his battle with Pompe Disease. We hope you will come out for a day of live music, bocce ball, food, friends and fun to show your support for Magglio, Becka, Mark and their family.

DETAILS:
WHEN: Sunday July 12, 2009, 12 – 5pm

WHERE: Leo Ryan Park, Bocce Ball Courts/Lawn area, 650 Shell Blvd., Foster City, CA

SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY:
The event takes place from 12 – 5pm. Here are some schedule highlights:
12 – 1 – Sign up to play bocce (no need to have a pre-formed team)
1 – 4pm – Bocce games (competative and non-competative brackets)
2 – 4pm – Live Music featuring James Talley and friends
4 – 5pm – Drum circle and special 4:23 prayer circle (please bring your instruments!)

PRICES:
Adults: $25 suggested donation
Children: $10 suggested donation
Food and drink included.

If you are unable to make it to the event but would like to contribute, your donations are welcome. You are also welcome to make a donation in addition to your entry fee. All funds raised will go directly to Magglio. Donations are tax deductable – Tax ID# 32-0250801

Dear Friends,

We had a wonderful day on Saturday and are so glad so many of you could join us!  The weather was perfect, everyone got into playing bocce and we had a very special prayer circle for Magglio at 4:23. 

Roll for Magglio will be featured on a local program on Foster City TV!  The segment should be up by Saturday August 23.  You should be able to view it at http://www.fostercitytelevision.com/
