Working on my basket weaving this morning (traditionally made by the Wasco nation of the Confederated Tribes of the Warm Spring Reservation and the Wishxam peoples of the Columbia River region in the Pacific Northwest) while finishing up my audio book Vermillion Drift by Wm Kent Krueger -- which has features stories of crime/mystery with a base of Ojibwe customs (Minnesota)
Been enjoying this Cork O'Connor series - lots of twists
Been planning to walk today - but I'm at the end of the book !!

Nice references of original histories, Mary! Our lands have had many residents passing through on their way toward new settlements - any land as large as ours will have had many original settlers who move on to bigger challenges, or the quest for possibly quick wealth such as the search for gold, as a panhandler!
As our states were settled, along came new folks willing to try their hand at whatever; the choices were many & varied!
