Welcome to our Gallery

in the heart of Boothbay Harbor, Maine.

The Boothbay Region Art Foundation, Inc., an inclusive, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, has been a cornerstone of the region's artistic community since 1963. Our mission is to provide artists of all ages with the opportunity to showcase and sell various forms of visual arts including paintings, sculpture, photography, and mixed media.  The gallery is a venue to promote Member artists, offers a variety of classes and workshops, and generates income to operate the mostly volunteer Gallery and provide scholarships for area graduating students to continue their art education.  Tax-deductible donations to honor the arts are critical for BRAF to continue serving our communities.

The Boothbay Region Art Foundation is not your typical Gallery...

In 1963, twenty-six founding artists desired to leave a legacy to the Boothbay Region that had given them inspiration and livelihoods.  They developed the model of selling their artwork to help fund a Boothbay Region High School Scholarship Foundation to assist local college bound graduates with an interest in artistic endeavors.  Over a half a century later, the members, artists, and volunteers of the Boothbay Region Art Foundation Inc., a 501{c}(3) charitable and educational nonprofit organization, continue that operational model through the Gallery. The artists still return a portion of their sale proceeds to the Foundation to support the Gallery, the inclusion of K-12 Art Shows, and the BRAF Scholarships.  Your donations will also contribute to this long legacy of giving back, inspired by the bounty of the Boothbay Region.
