The programme also featured a support slot in the first hour from Denuo, aka Welsh singer-songwriter Tom Mason, discovered through BBC Introducing.
In 2010 he recorded and released the 'Wolf River EP' - a collection of subtle acoustic-based songs inspired by travelling and the North Wales coast. With the help of a few musician friends, Denuo has since been performing as a band.
Tom says of the gig "I honestly still can't believe we've been asked to support Manic Street Preachers for their homecoming gig. They are Welsh heroes. What an honour! We're incredibly excited to perform, and hope the Manics fans enjoy the music we play too. It's a dream gig for us, thanks BBC Introducing!"
