This summer, Sheriff’s Meadow Foundation launched an island-wide treasure hunt to find beautiful, hand-crafted glass floats tucked away amongst its 18 conservation properties that are open to the public. “Treasure on the Trails” offers everyone the opportunity to explore these protected lands and hunt for a special Martha’s Vineyard treasure along the way!

The final wave of 2023 begins Saturday, December 23rd – just in time for winter break! Bundle up and hit the trails in search of treasure as another year comes to a close!

We have hidden 25 floats across our 18 conservation properties that are open to the public. This round, all floats have been wrapped in burlap rather than netting to protect them from the elements. As a little added holiday treat, if you find a float tied with an icy blue ribbon – come on down to our office to claim a set of 4 posters featuring artwork by Rez Williams!
