On April 19, Chargers worked together to spruce up campus with gardening, invasive species clean-up, trash and dish pick-up in residential halls and more. The Office of Sustainability also brought in community partners to support the on-campus Earth Day event.

On April 8, Chargers gathered on the campus quad for an eclipse viewing party to catch a glimpse of the total solar eclipse that reached 97.2% totality in New London. What a spectacular sight to see!
Colby-Sawyer College President Susan D. Stuebner announced that she will step down on June 30, 2024, after eight years in office. Stuebner, who assumed the presidency following the unanimous appointment of the Colby-Sawyer Board of Trustees, will become the 21st president of Marietta College, a private, liberal arts institution in Marietta, Ohio.
After graduating magna cum laude as an honors scholar, Nicolas “Nico” Adornetto ’22 looked for opportunities to continue developing his passion for digital marketing.
The $780,152 raised more than doubles the $371,746 raised during the second rendition of the college’s Day of Giving in 2020. Colby-Sawyer also exceeded its goal of 1,837 donors — a number that pays homage to the year of the college’s founding.
The Ski Day tradition, which gave students a day off in March to participate in winter festivities at the now-closed King Ridge Ski Area, hadn’t been celebrated since the early 1980s. But that all changed this year with the help of a few students and Mount Sunapee Resort.
Peter White has been named Colby-Sawyer College’s next dean of the School of Nursing & Health Sciences. White, who has been serving as the school’s interim dean since January, joined the Colby-Sawyer biology faculty in 2001.

Colby-Sawyer College has announced the hiring of Jeanette McKillop as its next director of athletics. McKillop, who will begin her tenure June 1, comes to Colby-Sawyer from nearby Rindge, New Hampshire, where she spent the last five years serving as the associate athletic director for compliance and senior woman administrator at Franklin Pierce University (FPU).
