With Jennifer Lopez, it's always about the love story. And so it's not surprising that in “Atlas,” a sci-fi epic in which her co-stars are mainly AI bots, J.Lo's character is still looking for love of some kind. Associated Press critic Jocelyn Noveck writes in her review that “Atlas,” directed by Brad Peyton, is an often ridiculous movie with dialogue cheesier than a Brie wheel — but also an old-fashioned, human heart o’ gold. Simu Liu and Sterling K. Brown are sadly given generic, lifeless roles, and it is left to Lopez to do all the emoting — even if it's with a computer program. "Atlas'' streams on Netflix on Friday.
