Denise “Dee” Yookong Williams

Congratulations to Ph.D. Candidate Denise “Dee” Yookong Williams, who successfully defended their dissertation proposal. The working title for the dissertation is “Transformational Visual Intervention for Exposure With Suicide (Transformational-VIEWS): Suicide Prevention for Racially Diverse Queer Youth Exposed to Suicide.” The dissertation will focus on an intervention that Williams has developed since they joined the doctoral program. Williams’ dissertation will include a pilot feasibility study and the analysis of quantitative, qualitative and mixed-methods data.
