2010 Focus Zetec S Whiring Noise After Ignition Switched Off

Noticed my car seems to be making a whiring noise for a few seconds from under the bonnet after switching off my ignition. The car seems to do it even if the engine hasn't been switched on and just wanted to check to see if anyone knows what it may be or if its a usual noise for the car to make. My car is a 2010 Focus Zetec S Petrol.

    Compression loss

Hi, I have a Ford Kuga Titanium Ecoboost and have recently had a service engine now display on my dash, a couple of days later, I started to lose power and juddering. I called the AA and they did a diagnostic test which stated I needed a new coil on the 4th cylinder. After replacing, he did a drop test and the engine was still miss firing. He then said that I had lost compression on the 4th cylinder and I was unable to drive it as it could go into limp mode. I had it recovered to a garage w

Sounds like an alignment problem. Not all garages have the equipment to do realignment, it's expensive and takes up a lot of room (a whole "bay"). Those without the equipment will either take your vehicle to another business that does have the equipment to get it done, or will simply leave it up to you to take it somewhere yourself. Does it happen to say anything about having paid for realignment in the invoice? Go back to them ASAP, be polite, show them the problem, and find out what the situation is regarding realignment. Either they simply forgot to advise you to take it somewhere that does realignment yourself, or they, or the people they subcontracted it out to, failed to do an adequate job. In the latter case understand that there are several possible reasons why they failed, they may have gotten distracted for instance, it happens. Politely give them the opportunity to put it right. If what you previously paid them covered having the realignment done, you should expect them to redo it at their expense. If they're being difficult about it you could also be well within your rights to get a different company to do it and then recover the cost from the original company.

It's all sorted mate.  I am a novice to say the least but willing to try. It's all working now, unfortunately it wasn't plugged in pushed all the way down.. rookie error.    I got a new BCM as I couldn't see the IPC on the list at all. I was advised by a ford lad it could be a reason thst my bcm has failed.

the maf is 9g/sec is that not a bit high ?? also if you look at the screen shots from before the maf value didn't change from idle cold to idle hot i would have thought it should be slightly lower ?? after the turbo is it not pressure rather than vacuem to the manifold, im thinking its a if it is pressure and when the engine is shut off and butterfly closes it then causes a vacum keeping the car running on and causing the pcm to think the butterfly stayed open, when starting the car the trouble code dose not appear but on shutdown it pops up, if im talking poo poo please feel free to rub my nose in it  cheers Phantom
