Went to Lenox Grill about a week ago for lunch. The menu looked pretty decent, but didn't have very many healthy options on it. I'm trying be healthy in the new year and shed some of tire around my waistline, so I opted for the she-crab soup and house salad.
The house salad was pretty basic and was ok; basically some lettuce topped with boiled egg, bacon bits, and carrots with choice of dressing (oil / vinegar). The she-crab soup however was pretty bad; it was a lumpy mess made with some sort of imitation crab meat.
The service at Lenox Grill was ok, but nothing to brag about either. When we walked in we were greeted right away by the hostess who took us to our table. Then we waited a good amount of time for our server to come over and take our drink / food order. He was ok, but not really the friendliest guy in the world. The food came out super fast, thinking it was all precooked and they just zapped in the microwave before bringing it out.
I wouldn't really recommend Lenox Grill for their food, but you might want to check out their $1.95 drink specials they have everyday.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jun 20, 2010
Strong, cheap cocktails in an enjoyable atmosphere makes for a great evening. I bet this place is swarming for happy hour, with $2 cocktails all day every day.
This place was a total hit with my Pub Crawl. You can't beat cheap drinks! Plus it made it very easy to buy drinks for others (or in my case, have drinks purchased for me!). I highly recommend you splurge on the $3 cocktails which are about twice the size of the $2 ones. The hurricane is my favorite!
Major props to the management for scheduling an extra bartender during the time my crawl was present. Once the initial surge of people and drinks had passed, everyone really enjoyed the stop and told me how excited they were to come back.
The place is kinda odd though. They serve $2 cocktails to people at white-linen tables surrounded by mahogany interior. The menu is really weird too, funnel cakes and churros? Hmm...
But I have to say- we will be back for the drinks. It's a couple of blocks from the Buckhead station and well worth the walk (and using MARTA to get there).Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 25, 2010
My sister said it best - this place underwelms in every possible way. The menu can only be described as average - basic appetizers (chili, nachos, onion rings), basic salads (house, grilled chicken), basic burgers and sandwiches (buffalo chicken, cheeseburger, philly) and basic entrees (surf 'n' turf, pork chops). This may sound tasty to some people, but believe me - everything this place serves is done better somewhere else in the city.
I expected it to be great. Maybe I listen to "The Buck and Kincade Show" too much on 680 AM and they've brainwashed me because I felt like I was making an educated decision when I decided to eat her tonight. My sister kept asking me, "How do you know this place is good?" And I kept saying, "Oh, that's what they say on the radio."
Boy, was I conned. Talk about Jedi mind control! The food here is average, the service is average and the music is terrible (you wouldn't expect a restaurant in Lenox to be blasting Nirvana and Green Day and that should have been my first warning).
The food wasn't awful, it was just boring. I will say that it was remarkably cheap for Buckhead standards. We had a mozzarella and beefsteak tomato salad and a veggie burger loaded with cheese, mushrooms and jalapenos and a small baked potato for $13. You can't beat that price, but the food just wasn't comforting.
To put it simply, I would have rather eaten at Applebee's (or Chili's or Ruby Tuesday or Bennigan's ....)Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 30, 2011
Came here with a group of 4 and to be honest, I felt that the service was sub-par. We were meeting two others and even though our friend had made a reservation, the hostess said that she had not made one. We later found our friend who said she had been waiting at the bar for us, but it was sort of annoying that they were not able to keep track of their reservations.
There is nothing special about this menu (typical diner food) yet there is a high up-charge for the food. I thought the service was fine for a diner, but not great for a place that is trying to be more. Overall, I'd recommend Panera Bread or Corner Bakery in Lenox Mall over this place.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 12, 2009
Went to the Lenox Square Grill for Sunday brunch. The place was not very busy and there were plenty of empty spaces/tables. We were seated on the heated patio. The music was a bit loud for a Sunday morning, but I guess that gives you privacy!
We had a sandwich and omelet. The sandwich was a bit dry and not really a major experience. The omelet was very good. So the food experience was mixed.
We were greeted by 2 waiters so it was a bit confusing and neither of them showed any level of real interest. Overall service was disappointing for a half empty place.
The location is super, but the food and service is really not much of an experience.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Oct 19, 2009
We ate here for a Friday night dinner. The atmosphere is pretty nice- very tall ceilings and dark furnishings. We started out with the skillet cornbread ($2.95). It was a huge portion and very good. It was quite rich and didn't even need any additional butter. We also had the cheese fries appetizer.
For dinner we both had mac and cheese skillets, which is their signature item. They don't look that big but are very filling. Neither of us came close to finishing the portion. It was very creamy and the breadcrumbs were a nice touch. The basic version is $5.95 and you can add extra fillings for a little more. I had the spicy buffalo chicken version. I liked the buffalo flavor but it actually had too much chicken in it. Next time I'll try a non-chicken skillet.
The menu also had a bunch of sandwiches, salads, and side items. Breakfast is served all day as well. The shocking thing was how cheap the menu is. $6 for a big signature dish? $4.95 for a burger with fries? $2.95 for a very filling cornbread appetizer? Those are great dinner prices considering this is in Lenox Mall. I asked the waiter about the prices and he said they plan to keep the prices this low for at least a few months (service was stellar by the way).
Being that most of the menu is one big calorie bomb, this is a solid place to go when you're in the mood for cheap comfort food. It's also open until 2 am- late night dining spots are definitely needed in Atlanta.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 29, 2010
Venue of my first annual Breast Cancer Dinner Party...there were six of us...and we had one server, which was ok, because it was a Sunday evening and the place was pratically empty.
It took us 5 minutes to be seated, when myself and I arrived we were told we wouldnt be seated until everyone was there....the host left his stand and of course everyone showed up and we stood there while he made his rounds out on the patio and I guess finally realized that he was the host and probably needed to get back to the desk.
LSG does not take reservations, but they do have call ahead seating...and since I requested the patio, we were lead there and asked if we wanted the heaters turned on...we did not. The dinner started at 6:30pmish...about 6:45ish...they came out and put candles at EVERYONES tables....while we all thought it was for ambiaence, it was because the lights bulbs started going out...and it was DARK with a capital DARK on the patio....we had to request two more candles, as it was nearly impossible to see at this point with only one candle at a table where six people were seated.
Our server, Brian was efficient and on point, we were never offered or brought water, but I guess with $2.00 drinks on the menu, maybe people dont drink the water here. Its is my opinion..that when drinks are cheap...go with the wine, otherwise its well drinks for all...and well drinks....welll...(lol) they make my head hurt.
A few people orderd the mac*cheese with shrimp and thought it was tasty and bigger than they thought it would be. One person ordered the pork chops (not me) and had more breading and gravy than she had pork chops, and I order the steak blt....I wont say I've had better, because while I have had better, they were normally made at home..and thats always better!
It was a Kodak moment because of the kinda event it was...and Brian was happy to snap a few for us.
When we got our checks...they were WRONG....we each advised Brian what was wrong with them...he brought them back...still wrong...but this time in our favor...and no one said a word....karmas coming on that i'm sure.
Upon leaving at about 8pmish...I noticed that the inside was empty except for two people sitting at the bar. Makes me wonder, is it the recession or are people just not impressed with this little piece of Buckhead?
Most items on the menu were right at about $10-$12...and they do switch menus up seasonally. $2 drinks, but I went with the GA Peach Martini and it was $9Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 10625542807Dec 19, 2012
I'm not the biggest fan of Buckhead or Lenox Square Mall. There's a million stoplights between Decatur and the mall. It can be difficult to find parking. I don't have a lot of money to buy things. The people who frequent the mall don't seem to be "my kind of people," nor I theirs.
But if one is meeting folks who are driving through town for lunch and they for some reason need to do an errand at the mall, Lenox Square Grill is a fantastic place to enjoy an inexpensive lunch in an aesthetically pleasing and quiet space. The restaurant looks like it is a much fancier venue than it is. Surprise! One can enjoy a $6 veggie burger and a heaping plate of shoestring fries, a $2.99 chocolate milkshake, and $6 cocktails (for example) while eating at a table with linens and being served by friendly, fancy-dressed servers.
Beats the food court, hands down.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Katharine,
Thanks for the nice Yelp! The turkey burger is my fav! Join us again soon! - David K.Atlanta, GA5241149424May 22, 2011
This is where low rent people go to try to feel high class. Just look around the patio and you'll see what I mean.
It doesn't say much for them when their appetizer menu consists of things like popcorn shrimp and chicken nachos. The baked potato soup tastes just like something you'd get out of a can
Oh, and what about the infamous drinks? Their $1.95 cocktails taste like the free ones you get in Las Vegas while playing nickel slots. Seriously. If I had closed my eyes while drinking it I would have thought I was there. The only thing missing was the "cha-ching!" I've tried some of the more expensive ones and they're not very good either. The mojito is mostly simple syrup and the peach martini tastes like drain cleaner.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 17Oh no 0 - Kathleen M.Atlanta, GA235816271470Jan 25, 2013Updated review
Note: Those $2 cocktails are now $2.95, all day every day. So it's more like $3 cocktails.
And they add an 18% gratuity, no matter your party size. Not that I'd ever tip less than 18%, but just so you know.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Jun 3, 2010Previous reviewTWO DOLLAR COCKTAILS.
All the time. Every day. And they ain't weak, neither.
And beyond those, most of the drinks are crazy cheap: as in below $4. It's crazy, especially given the fact that this is not a dive bar in the middle of nowhere. It's a soaring mahogany filled restaurant at spendy Lenox mall, in very close proximity to the likes of Cartier, Burberry, and Neiman's. Weird.
The prices were definitely the highlight: I can't remember the last time I had dinner with two cocktails for under $20... including a generous tip. I opted for the steak sandwich which was okay: nothing memorable, but nothing bad. Same deal with the fries: slightly overcooked, but nothing a TWO DOLLAR COCKTAIL couldn't fix.
The dessert menu looked fun (funnel cakes? churros?) but I just can't see how the menu fits in with the surroundings. It's all a little weird.
Our service was great, although I'm not sure why the hostess decided to seat us in the bar over a "real" table. Maybe cause we're such hotties she wanted to put us right in front. Yep, I'm sure that's it. More likely cause she knew we wanted to be in close proximity to the TWO DOLLAR COCKTAILS.
